Arrest Report- August 10,2018

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 43 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Chad O’Brien, 33, 118 Bogan Lane, Franklin LA was arrested on August 9, 2018 at 2:52 pm for unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling.

Deputies patrolling Centerville were dispatched to a residence on John Street in Centerville on a complaint of unauthorized entry. During the investigation, deputies found evidence that O’Brien entered a residence that was not his. Deputies located O’Brien at his residence and transported him to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail was set.

 

Dequellin Antoine, 18, 1217 Samuel Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on August 9, 2018 at 3:01 pm for aggravated battery.

A corrections deputy at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center found evidence that Antoine threw a tray of food at another deputy during feeding. Antoine was booked on said charge and remains incarcerated at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.

 

Delvin Vazquez, 38, 133 Cenac Street, Houma, LA was arrested on August 9, 2018 at 8:55 pm for driving while intoxicated, open container, and improper lane usage.

A deputy patrolling Amelia was dispatched to Duhon Boulevard near the Highway 90 bridge for a drunk driving complaint. The deputy made contact with an Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office deputy and the driver of the vehicle, Vazquez. The deputy learned that Vazquez swerved in and out of the lanes of travel. While speaking with Vazquez, the deputy smelled a strong odor of alcohol emitting from his person and observed an alcoholic beverage inside the vehicle. The deputy conducted standardized field sobriety and Vazquez performed poorly. Vasquez was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for chemical testing on the Intoxilizer 9000. Vazquez’ blood alcohol content was 0.261g%. Vazquez was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail was set at $3,250.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

 

Ashley Businelle, 31, 614 Lonely Oak Street, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on August 9, 2018 at 6:31pm for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, obstruction of justice. Narcotics detectives with assistance from the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division executed a search warrant at a residence in Bayou Vista. During the search, detectives located a digital scale and marijuana inside the residence. Detectives made contact with Businelle and learned that the marijuana was hers and she admitted to flushing it down the toilet to avoid getting caught. Businelle was arrested and released to appear on a summons on November 13, 2018.

 

Samantha Ledom, 26, 210 Nicholas Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on August 9, 2018 at 9:22 pm for possession of hydrocodone. A narcotics detective patrolling Bayou Vista observed a vehicle with no license plate lights and a loud modified exhaust. The detective conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver and a passenger, Ledom. During the course of the stop, the detective found a hydrocodone pill in the area where Ledom was sitting. Ledom was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Ledom was released on a $1,500 bond.
