Arrest Report- August 16, 2018

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 46 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Leonardo Thibodeaux, 27, 146 Chaparell Lane, Frierson, LA was arrested on August 15, 2018 at 7:17 am for driving under suspension.

A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista was dispatched to a location on Highway 90 to assist with a traffic incident. Upon arrival at the location, the deputy made contact with Thibodeaux and learned that Thibodaux was driving under suspension. Thibodeaux was arrested and released on a summons to appear on November 13, 2018.

 

Rick McCurtis, 38, 461Verdun Lane, Franklin, LA was arrested on August 15, 2018 at 10:35 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family.

A deputy at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse learned that McCurtis has turned himself in for an active warrant. McCurtis was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. McCurtis paid the fine and was released.

 

Aaron Cage, 27, 2483 Third Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on August 15, 2018 at 3:37 pm for battery- aggravated second degree.

A deputy at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center was responding to a fight in one of the dorms. The deputy found evidence that Cage had hit another inmate with an object and knocked out a couple of his teeth. Cage was arrested and charged and remains incarcerated at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.

 

Kimber Thompson, 27, 114 Myrtle Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on August 15, 2018 at 4:55 pm for remaining where forbidden.

A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista was dispatched to a local business in response to a trespassing complaint. The deputy made contact with business personnel and learned that Thompson had come to the business where she was forbidden. The deputy traveled to a residence on Fourth Street in Berwick and made contact with Thompson. Thompson was arrested and released on a summons to appear on November 13, 2018.

 

Carl Naquin, 47, 5064 Shrimpers Row, Houma, LA was arrested on August 15, 2018 at 5:44 pm for speeding and driving under suspension.

A deputy patrolling the area of Patterson observed a pickup driving at a high rate of speed, swerving in and out of traffic. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Naquin. During the stop, the deputy learned that Naquin was driving with a suspended license. Naquin was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Naquin was released on a $1,250 bond.

 

Caresse Nico, 32, 1021 East St. Peter Street, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on August 15, 2018 at 6:42 pm for disturbing the peace (intoxicated).

A deputy patrolling the area of Jeanerette was dispatched to a business on Highway 90 in response to a disturbance. Upon arrival, the deputy learned that a female had left the business and was walking on the frontage road. The deputy made contact with Nico on the frontage road. The deputy conducted field sobriety and Nico performed poorly. Nico was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail was set at $1,000.

 

Janaya Wade, 18, 1048 Ciro Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on August 15, 2018 at 10:25 pm for aggravated battery.

Deputies patrolling Siracusa were dispatched to a residence on Ciro Street in regards to a fight. Upon arrival, the deputies made contact with Wade. Through the investigation, the deputies learned that she had been in a fight with her brother and had thrown knives at him which resulted in an injury. She was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail was set.
