Arrest Report- August 17, 2018

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 36 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Joseph Jessie, 27, 119 B. Bernard Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on August 16, 2018 at 6:26 pm for robbery-simple.

Deputies patrolling Siracusa were dispatched to assist in a simple battery complaint at a residence on Grace Street. Upon arrival, the deputies made contact with the victim who had been involved in an altercation with Jessie and the victim claimed that Jessie had taken money and jewelry. Later in the night, the deputies located Jessie at his residence. Through the investigation, the deputies found evidence that Jessie had been in an altercation with the victim. Jessie was transported to the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail was set.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

 

Tonika Cooper, 37, 1701 Lake Palourde Road, Amelia, LA was arrested on August 16, 2018 at 5:37 pm for the following charges:

  •      Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
  •      Possession of schedule 1 (THC)
  •      Possession of drug paraphernalia
  •      Possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the the presence of a minor
  •      Possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a drug-free zone (church)
  •      Transactions involving drug offense

Dillon Bott, 19, 1701 Lake Palourde Road, Amelia, LA was arrested on August 16, 2018 at 5:37 pm for possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a minor.

Deputies with the St. Mary Parish Narcotics Section with assistance from the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division executed a search warrant on a residence on Lake Palourde Road in Amelia due to reports of drug activity. The deputies obtained a search warrant for the residence and through the investigation made contact with Cooper, her son Bott, and a juvenile. During the investigation, deputies found marijuana and drug paraphernalia items at the residence. Bott was released on a summons to appear on November 13, 2018. Cooper was transported to the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
