On Wednesday, August 8, 2018, deputies responded to a Theft at Hebert Lane in Baldwin. The homeowner reported that a 14-foot weldcraft boat, green in color with a 2 stroke Yamaha engine tied up behind the residence had been taken. The boat was last seen the evening of August 7th.

The lines that were used to secure the boat were cut and the boat was taken. Among the equipment missing with the boat was the trolling motor, a battery, fire extinguisher, first aid kit, a 5-gallon plastic tank and a grey tool box.

 

On August 17, a 14-foot boat matching the description of the missing boat was located in the area. However, all equipment and the engine had been taken from the boat.
