Arrest Report- August 22, 2018

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 40 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Zackery Johnson, 32, 2832 Fourth Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on August 20, 2018, at 3:16 pm on an Assumption Parish warrant for failure to appear on the charge of violation of parole.

A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista was investigating a possible theft from a local business when he made contact with Johnson. The deputy learned of an active warrant from Assumption Parish for Johnson. Johnson was transported to the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail was set.

 

Aaron Cage, 27, 2483 Third Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on August 21, 2018, at 3:10 pm for battery of a corrections officer and criminal damage to property.

A corrections deputy at the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center made contact with Cage. During the contact, Cage struck a corrections deputy. Cage was booked on said charges and remains incarcerated at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.

 

Charlie Williams, Jr., 39, 614 79 Pines LA was arrested on August 21, 2018, at 8:42 pm for no tail lights, driving without a license, and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana.

A deputy patrolling the area of Jeanerette observed a vehicle with the driver’s side tail light not illuminated. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Williams. Williams did not have a driver’s license. Through the stop, the deputy learned of an active warrant for William’s arrest. Williams was transported to the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail was set at $5,500.
