Arrest Report- October 1, 2018

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 109 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Brandon ODonnell, 38, 245 Barbara Drive, Crowley, LA was arrested on September 28, 2018, at 1:00 am for operating a vehicle while under suspension or revoked license.

A deputy patrolling the area of Highway 182 near Caffrey Curve made contact with ODonnell. ODonnell was driving eastbound when a tire and wheel fell off his trailer and struck another vehicle.   Through the investigation, the deputy learned that ODonnell was driving with a suspended license. ODonnell was arrested and released on a summons to appear on December 6, 2018.

 

Angela Perro, 52, 131 Caribbean Drive, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on September 28, 2018, at 8:22 pm for leash law-animal at large.

Deputies patrolling the area of Jeanerette were dispatched to a residence on Caribbean Drive in reference to an animal complaint. Upon arrival, the deputies made contact with the homeowner who complained that a neighborhood dog was not being controlled. The deputies made contact with the owner of the dog, Perro, and arrested her for violation of the leash law.  Perro was released on a summons to appear on December 6, 2018.

 

Ally Nguyen, 20, 1026 Raymond Drive, Broussard, LA was arrested on September 29, 2018, at 1:02 am for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and improper lane usage.

Deputies patrolling the area of Franklin were dispatched to Highway 90 in reference to a reckless driver. A deputy with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office was traveling behind the vehicle as it was entering St. Mary Parish. The deputies conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Nguyen. Through the investigation, the deputies located drugs and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Nguyen was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bail was set at $3,750.

 

Jared Colbert, 19, 112 Bonnie Lane, Franklin, LA was arrested on September 29, 2018, at 10:01 am for criminal damage to property-simple.

A deputy patrolling Centerville was dispatched to the frontage road near Highway 317 in reference to a car that was in a cane field. Upon arrival the deputy found the car in the field, locked and secured. The deputy observed the damage to the premises and began the investigation to find the owner of the vehicle. The deputy was then approached by Colbert who claimed ownership of the vehicle and acknowledged that he was the driver. Colbert said he entered the field while attempting to access the levee at the back of the field. Colbert said efforts to pull the vehicle out with a truck were unsuccessful. The deputy contacted a wrecker to remove the vehicle. Colbert was arrested and released on a summons to appear on December 6, 2018.

 

Ana Ortiz, 24, 719 Cypress Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on September 29, 2018, at 7:47 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft of goods under $500.

A deputy patrolling Amelia was dispatched to a residence on Cypress Street in reference to a disturbance in progress. Upon arrival at the residence, the deputy made contact with Ortiz and learned of an active warrant for her arrest. Ortiz was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bail was set at $1,500.

 

Samuel Gary, 27, 525 Egle Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on September 30, 2018, at 6:39 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of domestic abuse battery-1st offense.

A corrections deputy made contact with Gary when he turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on an active warrant for his arrest.  Gary was arrested and no bail was set.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

 

Codey Dupre, 21, 471 Bayou Blue Road, Houma, LA was arrested on September 30, 2018, at 11:41 pm for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A detective was dispatched to a location in Amelia after being provided with information of possible drug use at a residence. Through the investigation, the detective learned that Dupre was at a residence using meth. The detective obtained consent to enter the residence and made contact with Dupre. Dupre had drugs and drug paraphernalia in his possession. Dupre was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  No bail was set.
