Arrest Report- October 8, 2018

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 100 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Reva Thomas, 28, 30586 Sixth Street, Berwick, LA, was arrested on October 5, 2018, at 8:22 am for issuing worthless checks and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of disobeying a traffic light, operating a vehicle without a drivers license, and failure to honor written promise to appear.

A corrections deputy was made aware of an active warrant for Thomas who was in visitation at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. The deputy made contact with Thomas and arrested her on said warrant.   Thomas was booked and incarcerated. No bail was set.

 

Alton St. Julien, 43, 109 Nita Street, New Iberia, LA, was arrested on October 5, 2018, at 1:25 pm on two warrants for failure to appear on the charges of speeding (2x), driving under suspension (2x), and possession of alcoholic beverages in motor vehicles.

A transportation deputy transported St. Julien from another agency to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. St. Julien was booked and incarcerated. St. Julien was released on a $4,000 bond.

 

Brenda Robertson, 75, 815 Taft Street, Patterson, LA, was arrested on October 5, 2018, at 2:37 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and operating without a driver’s license on person.  

A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista was dispatched to Southeast Boulevard in reference to a two-vehicle crash. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Robertson and learned of a warrant for her arrest. Robertson was arrested and released on a summons to appear on December 6, 2018.

 

Rigoberto Nolasco-Reyes, 34, Franklin, LA, was arrested on October 6, 2018, at 1:17 pm for driving while intoxicated, switched license plates, failure to secure registration, and no drivers license.

A deputy patrolling the area of Franklin was dispatched to a location on Highway 317 to assist with a traffic stop. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Reyes who was sitting in his vehicle with an open container of alcoholic beverage. The deputy smelled a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from Reyes’ person. The deputy conducted field sobriety and Reyes performed poorly. Reyes was transported to the Franklin Police Department for chemical testing. The testing showed Reyes’ blood alcohol level at 0.254%g. Reyes was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail was set at $3,250.

 

Earnest Harris, Jr., 42, 115 Lori Lane, Patterson, LA, was arrested on October 6, 2018, at 7:34 pm for battery-simple.

Deputies patrolling Amelia were dispatched to a local business in Amelia in reference to a battery complaint. Upon arriving at the business, the deputy made contact with the victim who said that Harris had hit the victim with his fist. Deputies located Harris near Friendship Alley and arrested him. Harris was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail was set at $2,500.

 

Tommy Carsons, Sr., 47, 519 Martin Luther King Boulevard, Franklin, LA, was arrested on October 6, 2018, at 8:32 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family.

Deputies patrolling the area of Franklin were dispatched to a residence on Martin Luther King, Boulevard in reference to serving a protective order.  Upon arrival at the residence, the deputies made contact with Carsons. A warrants check revealed that Carsons held an active warrant for his arrest. Carsons was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail was set at $2,124.

 

Herman Sonnier, Jr., 50, 532 David Road, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on October 7, 2018, at 6:08 pm for criminal trespass and theft of goods (attempted).

A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista was dispatched to a local business in reference to a theft complaint.  Upon arrival at the business, the deputy made contact with store personnel who said that a male subject was observed attempting to steal merchandise. The deputy made contact with the man, identified as Sonnier.  Sonnier was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail was set.
