St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 44 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Alyssa Ashmore, 28, 302 Third Street, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on October 11, 2018, at 1: 42 pm for driving under suspension.

A deputy patrolling the area of Morgan City was dispatched to the Highway 90 off-ramp at Martin Luther King Boulevard reference to a reckless driver complaint. The deputy made contact with the driver of the reported vehicle, Ashmore, who admitted to being sleepy while driving. Through the stop, the deputy was made aware Ashmore’s license was suspended. Ashmore was arrested and released on a summons to appear on January 4, 2019.
