Arrest Report- October 15, 2018

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 128 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Destiny Singleton, 17, 408 Mike Drive, Patterson, LA, was arrested on October 12, 2018, at 7:46 am for disturbing the peace by fighting.

Juvenile female, 16, Patterson, LA, was arrested on October 12, 2018, at 7:46 am for disturbing the peace by fighting.

A deputy patrolling the area of Patterson was dispatched to a location on Highway 182 in reference to a fight. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Singleton and a juvenile female who had been in a physical altercation. The juvenile was arrested and released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings. Singleton was arrested and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Singleton was released on a $1,000 bond.

   

Quincy Jones, 36, 506 Ninth Street, Franklin, LA, was arrested on October 12, 2018, at 11:01 am on two warrants for failure to appear on the charges of illegal possession of stolen things and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A deputy patrolling the area of Franklin was dispatched to the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in reference to a subject who had active warrants for his arrest. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Jones and verified the warrants. Jones was arrested and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bail was set at $4,000.

 

Michael Hickman, 32, 301 Grizzaffi Street, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on October 12, 2018, at 11:01 am on two warrants for failure to appear on the charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia (2x), operating a vehicle while license is suspended, and no seat belt.

A deputy patrolling the area of Franklin was dispatched to the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in reference to a subject who had active warrants for his arrest. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Hickman and verified the warrants. Hickman was arrested and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Hickman was released on a $6,020 bond.

 

Shimira Green, 36, 178 Mary Garrette Lane, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on October 12, 2018, at 5:15 pm for battery-simple.

A deputy patrolling the area of Baldwin was dispatched to a residence on Mary Garrette Lane in reference to a fight. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the complainant who said Green had struck the complainant in the face. The deputy made contact with Green who admitted to hitting the complainant. Green was arrested and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Green was released on a $2,500 bond.

 

Nunique Washington, 40, 929 Chitimacha Trail, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on October 13, 2018, at 6:26 am for criminal damage to property-simple and threatening a public official.

A deputy patrolling the area of Baldwin was dispatched to a residence on Chitimacha Trail in reference to a criminal damage to property complaint.  Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the complainant who heard the crash when a window of a truck was smashed and witnessed Washington walking away. Through the investigation, the deputy made contact with Washington and found evidence supporting the claim. Washington was arrested and during the arrest threatened the deputy. Washington was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Washington was released on a $1,500 bond.

 

Joseph Romero, 41, 4805 Avery Island Road, New Iberia, LA, was arrested on October 13, 2018, at 8:49 pm for disturbing the peace intoxicated.

A deputy patrolling Centerville was dispatched to the area of Highway 90 Frontage Road in Centerville in reference to a subject who passed out walking on the road. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Romero who was sitting in the road. Romero became angry and yelled profanities at the deputy and others. Romero was arrested and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bail was set at $1,000.

 

Tammy Rough, 40, 170 American Boulevard, Houma, LA, was arrested on October 13, 2018, at 8:26 pm for driving under suspension and no tail lights.  

A deputy patrolling Amelia observed a vehicle traveling westbound on Barrow Street with an inoperable left tail light. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Rough. Through the stop, the deputy learned that Rough’s license was suspended. Rough was arrested and released on a summons to appear on January 4, 2019.

 

Whitney Thomas, 30, 311 Camille Road, Patterson, LA, was arrested on October 14, 2018, at 10:26 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle while license is suspended, speeding, and expired vehicle inspection.

A deputy patrolling the area of Franklin was stationary on Highway 182 when a vehicle was observed speeding and was clocked traveling over the posted speed limit. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Thomas. Through the stop, the deputy learned that Thomas had an active warrant for her arrest. Thomas was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail was set.

 

Jimmetha Issac, 34, 1513 Gum Street, Franklin, LA, was arrested on October 14, 2018, at 2:21 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of disturbing the peace and simple criminal damage to property.

A deputy patrolling the area of Franklin observed the Franklin Police Department conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle and proceeded to assist with the stop. During the stop, the deputy made contact with the driver, Issac, and learned that Issac had an active warrant for her arrest.  Isaac was arrested and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  No bail was set.

 

Tymerlon McClain, 20, 142 Easy Street, Franklin, LA, was arrested on October 14, 2018, at 11:24 am for criminal damage to property-simple and domestic abuse child endangerment.

A deputy patrolling the area of Franklin was dispatched to a residence on Kaylie Lane in Baldwin in reference to a domestic dispute complaint. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the complainant who said that McClain had chased the complainant in a vehicle and broke the door handle off the car trying to get the complainant’s infant child out of the complainant’s vehicle. Through the investigation, the deputy found evidence that supported the story and located McClain at a residence on Augustine Maze Street in Franklin. McClain was arrested and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bail was set at $4,000.
