Arrest Report- October 24, 2018

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 41 complaints and reports the following arrests:

April Yates, 35, 104 Chris Lane, Centerville, LA, was arrested on October 23, 2018, at 1:41 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Deputies learned of an active warrant for Yates and proceeded to a residence on Chris Lane to locate her. Upon arrival, the deputies made contact with Yates and advised her of the active warrant for her arrest. Yates was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bail was set at $1,500. 

Todd Mercer, 56, 1811 J Street, Patterson, LA, was arrested on October 23, 2018, at 2:00 pm for battery-simple and disturbing the peace by language.
A detective made contact with Mercer when he turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center an active warrant for his arrest. Mercer was booked on said warrant. Bail was set at $2,750.

Chrisjana Seals, 27, 5304 Sycamore Street, Baton Rouge, LA, was arrested on October 23, 2018, at 2:25 pm on three warrants for failure to appear on the charges of criminal neglect of family (2 counts) and unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling.
A corrections deputy made contact with Seals when she turned herself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on active warrants for her arrest. Seals was booked on said warrants. No bail has been set.

Rickie Hayes, 54, 273 Monarch Drive, Houma, LA, was arrested on October 23, 2018, at 9:23 pm on two warrants for failure to appear on the charges of unauthorized entry, battery-simple, possession of cocaine, and disturbing the peace-intoxicated.
A corrections deputy made contact with Hayes when he was turned in on a bond forfeiture at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on active warrants for his arrest. Hayes was booked on said warrants. No bail has been set.

Dion Maize, 26, 516 Orange Street, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on October 24, 2018, at 12:14 am for battery-second degree.
A corrections deputy made contact with Maize at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center after a fight occurred. Maize was booked and continues to be incarcerated. 

Marcus Austin, 34, 524 7th Street, Franklin, LA, was arrested on October 24, 2018, at 12:16 am for unlawful establishment of accounts on the internet.
A corrections deputy made contact with Austin at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center after the deputy learned of social media activity that Austin posted while being incarcerated.  Austin was booked and continues to be incarcerated. 

Eric Bailey, 61, 3640 Lake Palourde Road, Amelia, LA, was arrested on October 24, 2018, at 12:38 am for no insurance.
A deputy patrolling Amelia was dispatched to Two Brothers Street in reference to a two-vehicle crash. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the drivers of the vehicles; one driver was identified as Bailey.  Through the investigation, the deputy learned that there was no insurance on the vehicle Bailey was driving. Bailey was arrested and released on a summons to appear on January 5, 2018.
