Arrest Report- October 30, 2018

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 46 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Gaythir Bernard, 55, 767 Pepper Road, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on October 29, 2018, at 6:01 am for criminal damage to property-simple.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence on Martin Luther King Boulevard in Charenton in reference to a criminal damage to property complaint. Upon arriving, the deputy made contact with the homeowner while assisting units were detaining a female subject identified as Bernard. The homeowner stated that Bernard had broken the window of the home and damaged the siding by throwing chairs from an abandoned property against the home. Bernard was arrested and released on a summons to appear on January 4, 2019.

 

Stacey Grubb, 38, 1113 Iberia Street, Franklin, LA, was arrested on October 29, 2018, at 1:15 pm for driving under suspension.

A deputy patrolling Amelia observed a vehicle cross over the fog line. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Grubb. During the stop, the deputy learned that Grubb’s license was suspended. Grubb was arrested and released on a summons to appear on January 4, 2019.

 

Eric Frentz, 37, 1005 Front Street, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on October 29, 2018, at 4:46 pm for driving under suspension and no seat belt.

A deputy patrolling Amelia observed a vehicle being driven by a male subject who was not wearing a seat belt. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Frentz. During the stop, the deputy learned that Frentz’s license was suspended. Frentz was arrested and released on a summons to appear on January 4, 2019.

 

Conley Jones, 69, 1366 Joseph Street, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on October 29, 2018, at 11:38 pm on four warrants for failure to appear on the following charges:

-        Improper turn

-        Improper display of license plate

-        Operating a vehicle while license is suspended

-        Possession of drug paraphernalia

-        Possession of marijuana

-        Possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a drug-free zone

-        Contempt of court (2x)

A deputy patrolling Siracusa observed two men walking in the middle of the road. The deputy stopped and spoke to the men. During the investigation, the deputy found that one of the men had no outstanding warrants, therefore he was free to go home. The other man, identified as Jones, was found to have four active warrants for his arrest through the Morgan City Police Department. Jones was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail was set.
