Arrest Report- November 13, 2018

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum advises that over the last 96-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 149 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Orlando Jordan, 37, 1029 Highway 319, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on November 9, 2018, at 2:17 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of hydrocodone and possession of alcoholic beverages in motor vehicle.

A corrections deputy made contact with Jordan when he turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on an active warrant for his arrest. Jordan was arrest on said warrant and incarcerated.  Jordan was released on a $1,500 bond.

 

Brad Ackman, 39, 507 Roderick Street, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on November 10, 2018, at 8:50 am for speeding and driving under suspension.

A deputy monitoring traffic on highway 90 in Bayou Vista observed a truck traveling at a high rate of speed. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Ackman. Through the stop, the deputy learned that Ackman’s license was suspended. Ackman was arrested and released on a summons to appear on January 30, 2019.  

 

Rena Wilson, 39, 153 Nini Lane, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on November 10, 2018, at 11:52 am on a warrant for battery on a police officer and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, entry on or remaining in places or land after being forbidden, simple battery, disturbing the peace (offensive words) and resisting an officer.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence on Nini Lane in Bayou Vista in reference to a trespassing complaint. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Wilson. Through the investigation, the deputy learned of active warrants for Wilson’s arrest. Wilson was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bail was set at $8,000.

 

Christy Washington, 37, 104 Railway Alley, Gibson, LA, was arrested on November 10, 2018, at 5:09 pm for driving under suspension and driving in the right lane.

Deputies patrolling Bayou Vista observed a vehicle traveling in the left lane for several miles. The deputies conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Washington.  The deputies learned that Washington’s license was suspended.  Washington was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bail was set at $1,250

 

Rebecca Gros, 27, 121 Lachene Street, Pierre Part, LA, was arrested on November 11, 2018, at 11:18 pm for illegal use of weapons or dangerous instruments.

A deputy patrolling the area of Charenton was dispatched to a residence on Highway 87 in reference to an illegal discharge of a firearm.  Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Gros, who had discharged the weapon and injured herself. Gros was transported to a medical facility for treatment for a minor wound then transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  No bail was set.

 

James Wilson, 29, 118 Jolivette Lane, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on November 11, 2018, at 2:17 pm for driving while intoxicated and careless operation of a vehicle.

A deputy patrolling the area of Charenton was dispatched to a location on Martin Luther King Road in reference to a two-vehicle crash.  Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Wilson, who was driving one of the vehicles.  The deputy smelled a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from Wilson’s person. The deputy conducted field sobriety and Wilson performed poorly. Wilson was transported to the Franklin Police Department for testing on the Intoxilizer 9000.  Wilson’s blood alcohol content was 0.229 g%. Wilson was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Wilson was released on a $3,500 bond.

 

Glenn Rochel, Jr., 35, Two Sisters Court, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on November 11, 2018, at 3:11 pm for driving under suspension and improper lane usage.

A deputy patrolling the area of Bayou Vista observed a vehicle cross over the fog line and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy made contact with the driver, Rochel. The deputy learned that Rochel’s license was suspended. Rochel was arrested and released on a summons to appear on January 30, 2019.

Victor Crane, Jr., 51, 113 Shady Grove Dr., Patterson, LA, was arrested on November 12, 2018, at 7:46 pm for driving under suspension and stop signs and yield signs.

A deputy patrolling the area of Bayou Vista observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy made contact with the driver, Crane. The deputy learned that Crane’s license was suspended. Crane was arrested and released on a summons to appear on January 30, 2019.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

Tyler Wilson, 46, 153 Nini Lane, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on November 9, 2018, at 9:24 pm for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of schedule IV (Clonazepam).

Rena Wilson, 39, 153 Nini Lane, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on November 9, 2018, at 9:24 pm for possession of drug paraphernalia.

A narcotics detective went to a residence on Nini Lane in reference to locating a suspect involved in a battery upon another person. Upon arrival at the residence, the detective made contact with Tyler and Rena Wilson. The detective was given consent to search the residence and during the search, drugs and drug paraphernalia were found. Rena Wilson was arrested and released on a summons to appear on January 30, 2019. Tyler Wilson was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bail was set at $3,000.
