Arrest Report- November 14, 2018

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 28 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Robert Gibson, Jr., 37, 4801 Autumn Lane, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on November 13, 2018, at 1:40 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of resisting an officer, no drivers license, careless operation of a motor vehicle, and speeding.

A deputy patrolling the area of Franklin was dispatched to the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in reference to a subject attending court proceedings who had a warrant. The deputy made contact with  Gibson and advised him of the warrant for his arrest. Gibson was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  No bail was set.  

 

Darrell Harris, 28, 122 Jolivette Street, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on November 13, 2018, at 3:35 pm on two warrants for attempted 2nd degree murder (2 counts) and possession of a firearm or carrying a concealed weapon by a person convicted of a felony.  

A deputy at the St. Mary Parish Headquarters made contact with Harris when he approached the dispatch window and turned himself in on active warrants for his arrest. The warrants stemmed from a situation at a business in Franklin on November 3 in which two victims were trying to break up a fight between two people when a witness observed Harris stab the victims. Harris was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bail was set at $700,000.  

 

 

Vicky Allemand, 33, 179 Patureau Drive, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on November 13, 2018, at 9:46 pm for driving under suspension and turning movements and signals.

A deputy patrolling Amelia observed a car fail to use its turn signal when making a turn. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Allemand. During the stop, the deputy learned that Allemand’s license was suspended. Allemand was arrested and released on a summons to appear on January 30, 2019.  

 

Dontavius Withers, 21, 1553 Dillard Road, Stone Mountain, GA, was arrested on November 14, 2018, at 4:56 am on two warrants for failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled, speeding, possession of cocaine.

Marlon Thomas, Jr., 23, 1411 Stoneleigh Hill Road, Lithonia, GA, was arrested on November 14, 2018, at 4:56 am on two warrants for failure to appear on the charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A corrections deputy at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center made contact with Withers and Thomas when they were transported in by a bounty hunter. Withers and Thomas were arrested on active warrants and incarcerated. No bail was set for Withers or Thomas.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

Troy Perez, 53, 300 Main Street, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on November 13, 2018, at 5:22 pm on four warrants on the following charges:

-        Possession of legend drug without prescription (gabapentin)

-        Prohibited acts/drug paraphernalia

-        Non-consensual disclosure of a private image

-        Possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute (2 counts)  

A narcotics detective made contact with Perez when the detective located Perez at a residence in Patterson, LA. Perez was advised of the active warrants for his arrest. Perez was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  No bail was set.
