Arrest Report- November 16, 2018

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 39 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Russell Picard, Jr., 23, 1015 Church Street, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on November 15, 2018, at 6:00 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of synthetic cannabinoid and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A corrections deputy made contact with Picard when he turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on an active warrant for his arrest. Picard was arrested on said warrants and incarcerated.  No bail was set.  

 

Enrique Loza, 43, 1507 South Road, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on November 15, 2018, at 7:11 pm for leash law.

Deputies patrolling Bayou Vista were dispatched to a residence on Clarke Road in reference to a report of two dogs roaming loose in the neighborhood.  Upon arrival, the deputies made contact with the homeowner who witnessed two dogs maul a stray cat. The owner of the dogs, Loza, arrived at the scene to retrieve his dogs and was arrested. Loza was released on a summons to appear on January 30, 2019.  

 

Brennan Navy, 28, 230 Mitchell Street, Franklin, LA, was arrested on November 15, 2018, at 11:52 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of resisting an officer and possession of marijuana.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Mitchell Street in reference to a welfare concern. Upon arrival, the deputies made contact with Navy and learned of an active warrant for his arrest. Navy was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail was set.
