Arrest Report- November 27, 2018

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 47 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

William Payton, Jr., 45, 601 12th Street, Franklin, LA, was arrested on November 26, 2018, at 11:36 am for driving under suspension.

A deputy patrolling the area of Franklin observed a car with no license plate. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Payton. During the stop, the deputy learned that Payton’s drivers license was suspended. Payton was arrested and released on a summons to appear on January 30, 2019.

 

Betty Jo Butler, 52, 804 Tall Timbers St., Patterson, LA, was arrested on November 26, 2018, at 1:58 pm for possession of marijuana and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of disturbing the peace by fighting.

Rhondalyn Butler, 32, 804 Tall Timbers St., Patterson, LA, was arrested on November 26, 2018, at 1:58 on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft.

Deputies patrolling the area of Patterson were dispatched to assist detectives in conducting a search warrant at a residence on Tall Timbers.  The deputies made contact with Betty Butler and Rhondalyn Butler at the residence. Both had active warrants for their arrest. Through the investigation, marijuana belonging to Betty Butler was found.  Betty Butler and Rhondalyn Butler were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Rhondalyn Butler was released on a $1,250 bond. Betty Butler was released on a $1,000 bond.

 

Juvenile male, 16, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on November 26, 2018, at 7:54 for theft.

A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista was dispatched to a local business in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with store personnel who stated that two males had come into the store and left without paying for merchandise. Sometime later, the deputy was informed by dispatch that the two males had come back to the business. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the two males. During the investigation, one of the juveniles admitted to the theft. The juvenile was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Office for booking. The juvenile was released to his parent pending juvenile court proceedings.

 

Amanda Soudelier, 41, 329 Clarke Road, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on November 26, 2018, at 4:57 for improper lane usage and driving under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance.  

Deputies patrolling Bayou Vista were dispatched to a one-vehicle crash in highway 182. Upon arrival, the deputies observed a pick up turned on its side in the roadside ditch. The deputies made contact with the driver, Soudelier.  Through the investigation, Soudelier showed signs of being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance. Soudelier was transported to Teche Hospital to have a blood sample collected. Soudelier was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail was set at $5,250.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

Tiven Butler, 29, 804 Tall Timbers St., Patterson, LA, was arrested on November 26, 2018, at 1:58 for possession of schedule I (marijuana).  

Narcotics detectives were conducting a search warrant at a residence on Tall Timbers when they made contact with Butler. Through the investigation, marijuana belonging to Butler was found. Butler was arrested and released on a summons to appear on January 30, 2018.
