Arrest Report- December 4, 2018

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 40 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Raymond Chapman, 38, 316 Elm Street, Centerville, LA, was arrested on December 3, 2018, at 1:06 pm for theft.

A deputy patrolling the area of Franklin was dispatched to the courthouse in reference to a theft complaint. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with a female who said money was missing from her account at the bank due to ATM transactions that she was not aware had been made. Through the investigation, the deputy made contact with bank personnel and received information that led the deputy to an ATM machine at a local business.  The deputy found evidence at the business of a man, later identified as Chapman, making the ATM transactions in question. The deputy made contact with Chapman at a residence on Elm Street. Chapman was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail was set.

 

Amanda Parker, 38, 201 Trevino Street, Berwick, LA, was arrested on December 3, 2018, at 8:12 pm for monetary instrument abuse.

A corrections deputy made contact with Parker when she turned herself in on an active warrant for her arrest at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. Parker was arrested and released on a $4,000 bond.

 

Victor Billiot, 29, 188 Shady Grove, Patterson, LA, was arrested on December 3, 2018, at 11:21 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of simple burglary and criminal trespassing.

A corrections deputy made contact with Billiot when a bondsman turned him in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on an active warrant for his arrest.  Billiot was arrested and released on a $7,500 bond.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

Terry Ratliff, 47, 825 Railroad Avenue, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on December 3, 2018, at 5:16 pm for possession of a legend drug without prescription (gabapentin), on a warrant for theft of goods, and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft- two or more prior convictions.

Detectives observed Ratliff walking out of her residence and getting into a car.  The detectives conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and advised Ratliff of the active warrants for her arrest. Through the stop, the detectives found drugs in her possession. Ratliff was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail was set.

 

Jeffery Kidd, 48, 3478 Second Street, Berwick, LA, was arrested on December 3, 2018, at 7:40 pm for possession of schedule I (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Detectives patrolling the area of Berwick smelled a strong odor of marijuana. The detectives exited their vehicle and found that the odor was coming from the open door of a residence on Second Street. Detectives made contact with Jeffery Kidd who had marijuana in his possession. Kidd was arrested and released on a summons to appear on March 6, 2019.
