Arrest Report- December 18, 2018

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 42 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Aryn Hebert, 19, 111 Hebert Lane, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on December 17, 2018, at 4:14 pm for driving under suspension, expired or no inspection sticker, and no record of insurance.

A deputy patrolling the area of Charenton observed a vehicle being driven with an expired inspection sticker. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Hebert. During the stop, the deputy learned that Hebert’s driver’s license was suspended and she had no proof of insurance. Hebert was arrested and released on a summons to appear on March 6, 2019.

 

Deondra Williams, 33, 1910 Canal Drive, Franklin, LA, was arrested on December 17, 2018, at 6:01 pm for driving under suspension, expired license plate, no insurance, failure to signal, and texting while driving.

A deputy patrolling the area of Patterson observed a vehicle swerve and change lanes without giving a proper signal. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Williams. During the stop, the deputy learned that Williams’ driver’s license was suspended, her license plate was expired, and she had no proof of insurance. Williams said she swerved due to texting someone. Williams was arrested and released on a summons to appear on March 6, 2019.

 

Darrell Wilson, 60, 1236 Irish Bend Road, Franklin, LA, was arrested on December 17, 2018, at 8:18 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft of goods under $1,000.

A deputy patrolling the area of Franklin was dispatched to the area of Gum Point Lane and Irish Bend Road in reference to a suspicious person standing in someone’s yard with a firearm. Upon arrival, the deputy was advised by dispatch that the person was identified as Wilson. The deputy proceeded to the address and made contact with Wilson. Through the investigation, the deputy learned of a warrant for Wilson. Wilson was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

Chad Duhon, 37, 4207 Jefferson Island Road, New Iberia, LA, was arrested on December 17, 2018, at 3:39 pm for general speed law and reckless operation.

While traveling on US 90 eastbound, a narcotics detective observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. The detectives conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Duhon. Duhon  was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Duhon was released on a $500 bond.
