Arrest Report- December 21, 2018

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 25 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Lou Pichoff, 39, 248 Mary Garrett Street, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on December 20, 2018, at 2:40 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of attempted possession of a firearm or carrying concealed a weapon by a convicted felon.

A transportation deputy made contact with Pichoff when the deputy transported Pichoff to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center from another agency for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Jarrod Bellard, 34, 1048 Sonny Driver Street, St. Martinville, LA, was arrested on December 20, 2018, at 2:42 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled and general speed law.

A transportation deputy made contact with Bellard when the deputy transported Bellard to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center from another agency for booking. Bellard was released on a $3,500 bond.

 

Kashif Wallace, 30, 2602 Lake Palourde Road, Amelia, LA, was arrested on December 20, 2018, at 10:00 pm on two active warrants for the charges of assault-aggravated, criminal damage to property-simple, and assault-simple.

A deputy went to a residence on Lake Palourde road to located Wallace. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Wallace and advised him of the warrants.  The warrants stem from a disturbance back on September 21 when Wallace struck a vehicle with an object during the disturbance. Wallace was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Zackery Johnson, 33, 704 Onstead Street, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on December 20, 2018, at 7:44 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia and on a warrant for shoplifting.

A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista observed a male subject walking on the sidewalk acting in a suspicious manner. The deputy made contact with the man who was identified as Johnson and learned that he held active warrants for his arrest. Johnson was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail was set at $5,500.

 

Daina Galloway, 23, 242 Diesel Drive, Scott, LA, was arrested on December 20, 2018, at 11:48 pm for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and no headlights.

A deputy patrolling the area of Charenton observed a vehicle traveling on Main Street with no drivers side headlight. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Galloway. During the stop, the deputy located drugs and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Galloway was arrested and released on a summons to appear on March 6, 2019.

 
 
NARCOTICS SECTION
 
Dane Abshire, 19, 213 North Monceaux Street, Kaplan, LA, was arrested on December 20, 2018, at 9:30 pm for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A K9 deputy patrolling the area of Centerville observed a change lanes without using a signal. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Abshire. During the stop, the deputy located drugs and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Abshire was arrested and released on a summons to appear on March 6, 2019.
