Arrest Report- December 26, 2018

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 120-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 206 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Josephine Collins, 20, 2436 Highway 318, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on December 21, 2018, at 8:00 am for resisting arrest or officer, battery on an officer, and entry/remaining on premises after being forbidden.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Highway 318 in response to a disturbance complaint. Upon arrival, the deputies made contact with Collins and two other people who had been in a disturbance. Through the investigation, deputies asked Collins to leave and she refused. While trying to take Collins into custody, she would not cooperate. Collins was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Collins was released on an $8,000 bond.

 

Terrance Robinson, 21, 151 Joseph Street, Franklin, LA, was arrested on December 21, 2018, at 2:03 am on two warrants for failure to appear on the charges of possession of marijuana, direct contempt, operating a vehicle with improper headlights, improper turn/failure to give required signal, and failure to honor written promise to appear.

Deputies were dispatched to the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin in reference to a subject with active warrants. Upon arrival, the deputies made contact with Robinson and advised him of the warrants. Robinson was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Robinson was released on a $1,500 bond.

 

Kristie McNabb, 36, 704 Manchester Manor Road, Thibodaux, LA, was arrested on December 21, 2018, at 4:01 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family.

Deputies handling a call at a public building made contact with McNabb and learned of an active warrant for her arrest.  McNabb was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail was set at $15,560.

 

Jaymie Williams, 49, 802 Myrtis Street, New Iberia, LA, was arrested on December 21, 2018, at 5:33 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of forgery and theft.

A corrections deputy made contact with Williams when he was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking from another agency. Williams was arrested on said warrant and incarcerated.  Bail was set at $5,000.

 

Alton Kemp, Jr., 32, 458 Verdun Lane, Centerville, LA, was arrested on December 22, 2018, at 12:03 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of domestic abuse battery.

A corrections deputy made contact with Kemp when he was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for incarceration from drug court. While processing Kemp, the deputy learned of an active warrant for Kemp’s arrest. Kemp was arrested on said warrant.  No bail was set.

 

Ryan Leblanc, 25, 229 Sanders Street, Franklin, LA, was arrested on December 22, 2018, at 2:23 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of unauthorized use of a movable in excess of $1,000.

Deputies were dispatched to the Willow Street boat landing in Franklin in response to an incident in which a vehicle on the boat ramp rolled into the water while the driver was attempting to release his boat from the trailer. The deputies made contact with the driver, Leblanc, and learned of an active warrant for his arrest. Leblanc was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Leblanc was released on his own recognizance.

 

Kesean Francois, 18, 709 Park Street, Patterson, LA, was arrested on December 22, 2018, at 9:52 pm for no headlights and possession of marijuana.

Deputies were patrolling Highway 90 in Bayou Vista when they observed a vehicle being operated with no headlights. The deputies conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Francois. During the stop, marijuana was found in the vehicle. Francois was arrested and released on a summons to appear on March 6, 2019.  

 

Shelly Landry, 34, 229 Sanders Street, Franklin, LA, was arrested on December 23, 2018, at 1:51 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of disturbing the peace by appearing in an intoxicated condition and entry on or remaining in places or on land after being forbidden.

A deputy working a traffic stop made contact with Landry and learned of an active warrant for her arrest. Landry was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Landry was released on a $1,500 bond.

 

Davontraye Johnson, 24, 106 Southeast Boulevard, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on December 23, 2018, at 11:53 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of marijuana.

A deputy handling an animal complaint made contact with Johnson and learned of an active warrant for his arrest. Johnson was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bail was set at $500.

 

Fallon Touchet, 36, 810 Fletcher Street, Franklin, LA, was arrested on December 23, 2018, at 7:26 pm for battery-simple.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Joel Fletcher Street in reference to a simple battery report. Upon arrival, the deputies made contact with Touchet and two other people. Through the investigation, the deputies were told that Touchet had struck another person at the residence. Touchet was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Touchet was released on a $2,500 bond.

 

Mitchell Colbert, 40, 4204 Sarah Street, New Iberia, LA, was arrested on December 24, 2018, at 1:02 am for driving under suspension and license plate lights required.

A deputy patrolling the area of Franklin observed a vehicle being operated with no license plate light. The deputies conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Colbert. During the stop, the deputy learned that Colbert’s license was suspended. Colbert was arrested and released on a summons to appear on March 6, 2019.  

 

Eddie Norman, Jr., 40, 108 Taryn Lane, Franklin, LA, was arrested on December 24, 2018, at 4:07 am for possession of marijuana, possession of schedule II drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputies patrolling the area of Franklin observed a male subject walking south on Huntington Road. The deputies made contact with the man, identified as Norman. While speaking with Norman, the deputies smelled an odor of marijuana coming from his person. The deputies found drugs and drug paraphernalia on his person. Norman was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bail was set at $3,500.

 

Jordan Franklin, 19, 140 Clausen Road South, Centerville, LA, was arrested on December 24, 2018, at 5:07 am for resisting an officer by giving false information and on an active warrant for motor vehicle theft and probation violation.

Deputies patrolling the area of Franklin were dispatched to a local business in reference to a suspicious person. Upon arrival, the deputies made contact with Franklin and another person. During the investigation, Franklin provided false information to the deputies. Franklin was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  No bail was set.

 

Toby Clement, 48, 140 Big Bear Lane, Franklin, LA, was arrested on December 24, 2018, at 7:52 am for no insurance, improper lane usage, expired drivers license, and switched license plate/stolen license plate.

A deputy patrolling the area of Garden City observed a vehicle cross the center line twice. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Clement. During the stop, the deputy learned that the license plate was coming back as belonging to a different car, Clement’s license was expired, and he had no insurance.  Clement was arrested and released on a summons to appear on March 6, 2019.

 

Tashib Guilbeau, 22, 162 Easy Street, Franklin, LA, was arrested on December 24, 2018, at 3:07 pm for disturbing the peace by fighting.

A deputy patrolling the area of Franklin observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Guilbeau. Through the stop, the deputy learned of an active warrant for Guilbeau. Guilbeau was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Guilbeau was released on a $1,000 bond.

 

Jeremy Davis, 37, 2055 Allison Street, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on December 25, 2018, at 9:09 am for driving under suspension and proper equipment required on vehicles.

A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista observed a vehicle being operated with no red lens over a tail light. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Davis. During the stop, the deputy learned that Davis’ license was suspended. Davis was arrested and released on a summons to appear on March 6, 2019.  

 

Rodney Williams, 29, 1804 North Street, Patterson, LA, was arrested on December 25, 2018, at 10:25 am for battery-simple.

A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista was parked at the intersection of Delmar Avenue and Southeast Boulevard as requested for a “spot check.” The deputy observed a car fail to stop at a stop sign. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Williams. Through the stop, the deputy learned of an active warrant for Williams’ arrest. Williams was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Williams was released on a $2,500 bond.

 

Brian Turner, Jr., 31, 140 Kemper Road, Franklin, LA, was arrested on December 25, 2018, at 10:25 am for battery-simple, domestic abuse battery, criminal damage to property-simple, theft, and remaining on property without permission.  

A deputy was dispatched to a residence on Deforest Brown Lane in reference to a disturbance.  Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with a person who said that Turner had struck someone in the residence and was refusing to leave. The deputy made contact with Turner and found Turner to be in possession of keys to a person’s vehicle and house. Turner had also damaged to a door in the residence. Turner was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail was set at $7,500.
