Arrest Report- December 28, 2018

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 40 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Larry Ribardi, 60, 463 Hunting Road, Franklin, LA, was arrested on December 27, 2018, at 9:19 am for battery domestic abuse.

A deputy made contact with Ribardi at a residence on Hunting Road and advised him of an active warrant for his arrest. Ribardi was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Courtland Francois, 27, 193 Antebellum Way, Atlanta, GA, was arrested on December 27, 2018, at 1:38 pm for battery-second degree.

A corrections deputy made contact with Francois at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center when he received a report that Francois had punched another inmate. Francois was arrested and continues to be incarcerated. No bail has been set.

 

 

Samantha Rowell, 40, 271 Grandwood Drive, Patterson, LA, was arrested on December 27, 2018, at 3:58 pm for theft.

A deputy was dispatched to a local business in Bayou Vista in reference to a theft complaint. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with business personnel who stated that a person, later identified as Rowell, was observed stuffing clothing in her clothing. The deputy made contact with Rowell who admitted to taking the items. Rowell was arrested and released on a summons to appear on March 6, 2019.  

 

Gavin Brown, 23, 173 Cherokee Street, Charenton, LA, was arrested on December 27, 2018, at 10:36 pm for driving while intoxicated, improper lane usage, possession of synthetic cannabinoids, possession of drug paraphernalia, and misuse of toxic vapors.

Deputies patrolling Highway 182 near Charenton were almost struck head-on by a vehicle traveling on the wrong side of the road. The deputies conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Brown. Upon exiting the vehicle, Brown almost lost his balance. Deputies also saw drugs in the vehicle. The deputies conducted field sobriety in which Brown performed poorly. Brown was transported to the hospital for blood testing. Brown was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Jermaine Harding, 37, 1012 Parkview Drive, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on December 28, 2018, at 1:24 am for driving under suspension.

A deputy was dispatched to Highway 182 near Highway 670 in reference to a crash. During the investigation, the deputy made contact with Harding and was advised by dispatch that Harding’s license was suspended. Harding was arrested and released on a summons to appear on March 6, 2019.  

 

Tina Weaver, 49, 115 West Syls, Amelia, LA, was arrested on December 28, 2018, at 1:09 am for probation violation and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of marijuana.

Deputies patrolling Amelia were dispatched to a residence on West Syls Lane in response to a disturbance complaint. Upon arrival, the deputies made contact with a person who had been in a disturbance with Weaver. The deputies also made contact with Weaver and through the investigation learned of an active warrant for Weaver. Weaver was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

Chris Gugliotta, 22, 123 Jupiter Street, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on December 27, 2018, at 4:42 pm for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of schedule I (marijuana) with intent to distribute, possession of schedule II (methamphetamine) with intent to distribute, transactions involving drug offense, violation of uniform CDS law, drug-free zone (school/church), and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of marijuana.

Kyla Finley, 20, 123 Jupiter Street, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on December 27, 2018, at 4:42 pm for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of schedule I (marijuana).

Detectives with the Narcotics Section went to a residence on Jupiter Street to conduct a narcotics investigation. This was done due to numerous complaints of drug traffic in and out of the residence. Upon arrival, the detectives made contact with Gugliotta and Finley. Through the investigation, drugs, drug paraphernalia, and cash were found in the residence. Finley was arrested and released on a summons to appear on March 6, 2019. Gugliotta was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Danyelle Morgan, 33, 2483 Fourth Street, Berwick, LA, was arrested on December 27, 2018, at 7:08 pm for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of schedule I (marijuana), possession of schedule III (Subutex), possession of a CDS in the presence of a minor, and violation of uniform CDS law (housing authority unit).

Patricia Chaisson, 19, 2483 Fourth Street, Berwick, LA, was arrested on December 27, 2018, at 7:08 pm for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of schedule I (marijuana), possession of a CDS in the presence of a minor, and violation of uniform CDS law (housing authority unit).

Jane Landry, 49, 2483 Fourth Street, Berwick, LA, was arrested on December 27, 2018, at 7:08 pm for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of schedule I (marijuana), possession of a CDS in the presence of a minor, and violation of uniform CDS law (housing authority unit).

Kearston Richard, 19, 2483 Fourth Street, Berwick, LA, was arrested on December 27, 2018, at 7:08 pm for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of schedule I (marijuana), possession of a CDS in the presence of a minor, and violation of uniform CDS law (housing authority unit).

Jada Williams, 17, 2483 Fourth Street, Berwick, LA, was arrested on December 27, 2018, at 7:08 pm for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of schedule I (marijuana), possession of a CDS in the presence of a minor, and violation of uniform CDS law (housing authority unit).

 

Detectives with the Narcotics Section along with officers of the Berwick Police Department went to a residence on River Road conduct a narcotics investigation. This was done due to both agencies receiving information of drug activity at the residence. Upon arrival, the detectives made contact with Morgan, Chaisson, Landry, Richard, and Williams. Through the investigation, drugs and drug paraphernalia were found in the residence. Chaisson, Landry, Richard, and Williams were arrested and released on a summons to appear on March 6, 2019. Morgan was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.
