Arrest Report- January 4, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 38 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Rena Wilson, 39, 153 Nini Street, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on January 3, 2018, at 9:34 am on five warrants for failure to appear on the following charges:

-        Contempt of court- terms of probation (x2)

-        Contempt of court-fine (x2)

-        Possession of drug paraphernalia  

A deputy was dispatched to a residence on Nini Street in reference to Rena Wilson who held active warrants for her arrest. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Wilson and advised her of the warrants. Wilson was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Dina Berry, 58, 159 Lorena Lane, Krotz Springs, LA, was arrested on January 3, 2018, at 5:59 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of stop signs and yield signs.

Deputies were dispatched to Highway 90 near the Calumet Bridge in reference to a vehicle in a ditch. Upon arrival, the deputies made contact with the driver, Berry, and learned of an active warrant for her arrest.  Berry was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking and was later released on her own recognizance.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

George Oubre, Jr., 52, 2349 Chatsworth Road, Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 3, 2018, at 7:21 pm for possession of schedule II (methamphetamine) and domestic abuse battery.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Chatsworth Road in reference to a disturbance in progress. Upon arrival, the deputies made contact with the victim who stated that Oubre had struck the victim. Oubre had locked himself inside the house and would not come out. Eventually, Oubre came out and spoke with the deputies. A bag containing methamphetamine was found inside the residence. Oubre was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.
