Arrest Report- January 11, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 37 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Kendrick Howard, 40, 104 Coleman & Johnson Street, Napoleonville, LA, was arrested on January 10, 2019, at 1:54 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled and speeding.

A transportation deputy made contact with Howard when the deputy transported him to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center from another agency. Howard was booked on said warrant and incarcerated. No bail has been set.

 

Scott Michael Thompson, 54, 3023 Highway 70, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on January 10, 2019, at 7:03 pm for theft.

A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista was dispatched to a local business in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with business personnel who stated that a man identified as Thompson attempted to leave the business with merchandise without paying for it. The deputy made contact with Thompson and through the investigation, the deputy learned of another active investigation of Thompson for the same charge in the same business. Thompson was banned from the premises and transported the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Thompson was released on a $1,500 bond.

 

Drake Ritter, 28, 128 Darwin Road, Centerville, LA, was arrested on January 11, 2019, at 5:20 am for driving under suspension and no lights in fog.

Deputies patrolling Centerville were traveling from Highway 182 towards Highway 317 when they noticed a vehicle driving with non-operational headlight in the fog. The deputies conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Ritter. Through the stop, the deputies learned that Ritter’s drivers license was suspended. Ritter was arrested and released on a summons to appear on April 4, 2019.
