Arrest Report- January 18, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 42 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Donald Webber, 31, 209 Knight Street, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on January 17, 2019, at 10:02 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of marijuana.  

A corrections deputy made contact with Webber when he was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center from court. Webber was booked on said warrant and incarcerated. No bail has been set.

 

Johnny Freeman, Jr., 67, 216 St. Joseph Lane, Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 17, 2019, at 10:02 am on two warrants for failure to appear on the charge of operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled (x2).

A corrections deputy made contact with Freeman when he turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on an active warrant for his arrest. Freeman was booked on said warrant and incarcerated. No bail has been set.

 

Juvenile male, 14, Patterson, LA, was arrested on January 17, 2019, at 2:25 pm for ungovernable juvenile.

A deputy was dispatched to a location on Main Street in Patterson in reference to a disturbance involving a juvenile.  Upon arrival, the deputies made contact with the juvenile and took him into custody. The juvenile was transported to the Branch Office for processing. He was released into the custody of a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

 

Mark Hilliard, 35, 2533 Illinois Avenue, Kenner, LA, was arrested on January 17, 2019, at 9:34 pm for battery of a dating partner.

A deputy was dispatched to a local business in Bayou Vista in reference to a disturbance in progress. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with a victim who stated that Hilliard had taken the victim’s vehicle. When the victim spoke to Hilliard at the business to get the vehicle back, he had placed his arm around the victim’s neck in order to get the victim outside. The deputy made contact with a witness who corroborated the victim’s story. The deputy also made contact with Hilliard and transported him to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Terry Dubois, 58, 109 Bowen Lane, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on January 17, 2019, at 9:34 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle not covered by security, vehicle license required, and failure to apply for a certificate of title.  

A deputy was dispatched to a local business in Bayou Vista in reference to a disturbance in progress. While investigating the disturbance, the deputy made contact with Dubois and was advised by dispatch of an active warrant for his arrest. Dubois was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Dubois was released on a $500 bond.

 

Brittnie Dooley, 30, 733 North Walter Drive, Erath, LA, was arrested on January 18, 2019, at 3:14 am for driving while intoxicated and improper lane usage.

A deputy patrolling the area of Baldwin observed a vehicle swerve over the fog line while traveling on Highway 83 approaching the Highway 90 on-ramp. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Dooley. During the stop, the deputy smelled a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from Dooley’s person. The deputy conducted field sobriety in which Dooley performed poorly. Dooley was transported to the Franklin Police Department for chemical testing which she refused. Dooley was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Dooley was released on a $2,750 bond.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

Sadie Percle, 26, 1721 River Road, Berwick, LA, was arrested on January 17, 2019, at 7:39 pm for possession of schedule II methamphetamine and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of marijuana.  

Steve Berryhill, 48, 1721 River Road, Berwick, LA, was arrested on January 17, 2019, at 7:39 pm for possession of schedule II methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.  

Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Section were patrolling the area of the Berwick Boat Landing when they observed a vehicle with two subjects inside the back seat. The detectives made contact with the subjects, identified as Percle and Berryhill, and through the investigation, the detectives learned of an active warrant for Percle. Drugs were also found in the vehicle. Percle and Berryhill were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.
