Arrest Report- January 29, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 37 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Terrell Charles, 20, 1256 Martin Luther King Boulevard, Charenton, LA, was arrested on January 29, 2019, at 5:32 pm on a warrant for the charges of possession of stolen things, no seat belt, resisting arrest or officer, and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.  

A corrections deputy made contact with Charles when he was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center from another agency. The deputy booked Charles on said warrants and he was incarcerated. The complaint warrant stems from an incident on September 4, 2018, in which a vehicle was stolen from a residence on Deslinges Road in Baldwin. No bail has been set.

 

Larry David, 60, 502 North 2nd Street, Eunice, LA, was arrested on January 28, 2019, at 12:09 pm speeding and driving under suspension.

A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista observed a vehicle traveling over the posted speed limit. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, David. Through the stop, the deputy learned that David’s driver’s license was suspended. David was arrested and released on a summons to appear on April 4, 2019.

 

Mary Frye, 62, 607 Pecan Drive, Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 28, 2019, at 7:35 pm for reckless operation.  

Deputies patrolling Bayou Vista was dispatched to the area of Southeast Boulevard in reference to a reckless driver. The deputies made contact with the complainant who was an off-duty law enforcement officer who stated that the vehicle was traveling southbound in the northbound lane on Southeast Boulevard and the officer had to take evasive action to avoid being hit head-on. The deputies located the vehicle matching the description and license plate number parked at a local business and made contact with the driver, Frye. Frye was arrested and released on a summons to appear on April 4, 2019.

 

Jude Resignola, 23, 549 Arcemont Lane, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on January 28, 2019, at 7:30 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of subutex.  

A detective made contact with Resignola when he walked into the Morgan City Branch Office and turned himself in on an outstanding warrant. Resignola was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Misty Gaudet, 31, 700 4th Street, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on January 28, 2019, at 8:52 pm for failing to signal lane change and driving under suspension.  

A deputy patrolling Amelia observed a vehicle fail to give a proper signal when making a turn. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Gaudet. Through the stop, the deputy learned that Gaudet’s driver’s license was suspended. Gaudet was arrested and released on a summons to appear on April 4, 2019.

 

Ray Ingram III, 25, 413 Lawrence Street, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on January 28, 2019, at 7:30 pm for possession of marijuana and on three warrants for failure to appear on the charges of possession of marijuana, simple battery, and angling without a license.   

A deputy patrolling Amelia observed a vehicle with the license plate not illuminated. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Ingram. During the stop, the deputy smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and located marijuana in the vehicle. The deputy also learned of three active warrants for Ingram’s arrest. Ingram was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.
