Arrest Report- February 6, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 39 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Vivian Skipper, 29, 8539 Winsome Lane, Houston, TX, was arrested on February 5, 2019, at 7:34 am for speeding and driving under suspension.

A deputy was traveling east on Yokely Road in Franklin when he observed a vehicle traveling west at a high rate of speed. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Skipper. During the stop, the deputy learned that Skipper’s driver’s license was suspended. Skipper was arrested and released on a summons to appear on May 2, 2019.

 

Renaldo Toussaint, Sr., 41, 211 Batiste Street, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on February 5, 2019, at 2:39 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family.

A deputy working at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse was informed of a subject in the courtroom who held an active warrant for his arrest. The deputy made contact with the subject, identified as Toussaint and advised him of the verified warrant. Toussaint was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  No bail has been set.

 

Joniece Webster, 19, 422 Seventh Street, Franklin, LA, was arrested on February 5, 2019, at 8:10 pm for license plate required, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputies patrolling the area of Irish Bend Road observed a vehicle with a temporary license plate attached to the vehicle with no operable license plate lights. The deputies conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Webster. Through the stop, drugs and drug paraphernalia were found in the vehicle.  Webster was arrested and released on a summons to appear on May 2, 2019.  

 

Derrick Riley, 30, 432 Levee Road, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on February 5, 2019, at 11:32 pm on two warrants for failure to appear on the charges of possession of marijuana or synthetic cannabinoids, possession of drug paraphernalia, abuse of toxic vapors, and criminal neglect of family.

A deputy was notified by dispatch of a subject inside the Morgan City Branch Office who held active warrants for his arrest. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the subject, identified as Riley.  The deputy advised Riley of the warrants and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  No bail has been set.
