Arrest Report- February 11, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 105 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Jason Cavalier, 41, 148 Cremo Lane, Patterson, LA, was arrested on February 8, 2019, at 5:58 am for aggravated assault on an officer with weapon, resisting a police officer with force or violence, possession of drug paraphernalia, disturbing the peace intoxicated, and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

A deputy was dispatched to a local business in Amelia in reference to a suspicious person. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with business personnel who stated that a male subject was in the business acting suspiciously. The deputy made contact with the subject, identified as Cavalier, and observed that Cavalier appeared to be intoxicated. While the deputy was talking with Cavalier, he put his hands in his pockets and refused to follow instructions.  Through the investigation, drug paraphernalia was found on his person. The deputy was also advised that Cavalier held an active warrant for his arrest. As the deputy attempted to take him into custody, Cavalier resisted arrest violently. Cavalier was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Tylan Bolden, 25, 408 Iberia Street, Franklin, LA, was arrested on February 8, 2019, at 8:35 pm for possession of marijuana and no headlights.

A deputy was patrolling the area of Franklin when he observed a vehicle with its passenger side headlamp not illuminated. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Bolden. Through the stop, marijuana was found in the vehicle.  Bolden was arrested and released on a summons to appear on May 2, 2019.

 

Shelia Naranjos, 52, 186 Beadle Street, Amelia, LA, was arrested on February 8, 2019, at 10:40 pm for theft.

A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista was dispatched to a local business in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with business personnel who stated that a female subject had attempted to leave the business with merchandise for which she had not paid. The deputy made contact with the female, identified as Naranjos, and arrested her. Naranjos was released on a summons to appear on May 2, 2019.

 

Herman Solone, 27, 411 5th Street, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on February 8, 2019, at 10:11 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of contempt of court/terms of probation.

A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista was dispatched to a local business in reference to a theft complaint. While investigating the complaint, the deputy learned that Solone, who held an active warrant for his arrest, was sitting inside a vehicle in the parking lot. The deputy made contact with Solone and advised him of the warrant.  Solone was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail was set.

 

Joseph Dorsey, 20, 115 Dorsey Lane, Four Corners, LA, was arrested on February 9, 2019, at 8:36 am for speeding, no driver’s license, and possession of marijuana.

A deputy patrolling the area of Baldwin observed a vehicle traveling Eastbound at a high rate of speed.  The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Dorsey. The deputy could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. During the stop, the deputy learned that Dorsey had no driver’s license. The deputy also found drugs belonging to Dorsey in the vehicle. Dorsey was arrested and released on a summons to appear on May 2, 2019.  

 

Heidi Sams, 40, 189 Polaris Street, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on February 9, 2019, at 9:13 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of failing to pay probation fee.

A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista was dispatched to a residence on Polaris Street in reference to a complaint of an injured bird. While investigating the complaint, the deputy made contact with Sams and learned of an active warrant for her arrest. The deputy advised her of the warrant and transported her to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Sams was transported to another agency.

 

Edward Walker, 25, 116262 Willow Oak Avenue, Baton Rouge, LA, was arrested on February 10, 2019, at 12:49 am for driving under suspension, switched license plate/stolen license plate, and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled.  

A deputy patrolling the area of Baldwin was advised by dispatch of a reckless vehicle on highway 90. The deputy observed a vehicle cross over the fog line twice. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Walker. Through the stop, the deputy learned that Walker’s license was suspended and the license plate was registered to another vehicle that is owned by Walker. Dispatch also advised the deputy of an active warrant for Walker. Walker was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail was set at $1,250.

 

Patrick Lemoine, 26, 1601 Main Street, Patterson, LA, was arrested on February 10, 2019, at 10:38 pm for criminal trespass.

A deputy patrolling the area of Patterson was dispatched to the area of Zenor Road in reference to a vehicle stuck in the mud. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with a representative of the levee operations with St. Mary Parish who stated that a vehicle had been reported stuck in the mud. During the investigation, a man identified as Lemoine returned to the scene and claimed ownership of the vehicle. Lemoine was arrested and released on a summons to appear on May 2, 2019.  

 

Rickey Webster, 58, 128 Third Street, Franklin, LA, was arrested on February 10, 2019, at 1:06 pm for battery of a dating partner and disturbing the peace intoxicated.  

Alaina Fulks, 55, 774 Parish Road 131, Verdunville, LA, was arrested on February 10, 2019, at 2:29 pm for battery of a dating partner and disturbing the peace intoxicated.  

A deputy was dispatched to a residence on Parish Road 131 in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Fulks who stated that she had been in an altercation with a man, identified as Webster. Webster had left the residence and was walking when another deputy made contact with him and interviewed Webster for information. Through the investigation, the deputies learned that Webster and Fulks had been drinking alcohol. The deputies transported both Fulks and Webster to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Kalyn Gros, 29, 2423 Pecan Street, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on February 11, 2019, at 12:37 am for resisting a police officer with force or violence, battery on a police officer, disturbing the peace intoxicated, and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of entry/remaining where forbidden.  

A deputy was dispatched to a local business in the Berwick area in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with another deputy who advised to check a vehicle at a boat landing. The deputies traveled to the location and found a vehicle with a male subject and a female subject standing outside the vehicle in an argument. The deputies made contact with the female subject, identified as Gros, and could smell a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from her. During the investigation, the deputies were advised of an active warrant for her arrest.  The deputies advised her of the warrant and while taking her into custody, she resisted violently.  Gros was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Brandy Wiggins, 43, 424 Aristile Road, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on February 11, 2019, at 2:52 am for license plate lights required, driving under suspension, and on two warrants for failure to appear on the charges of criminal neglect of family.

A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista observed a vehicle without its license plate illuminated. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Wiggins. Through the stop, the deputy was advised by dispatch of active warrants for Wiggins’ arrest.  Wiggins was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail was set at $9,119.84.

 

Briony Delira-Nunez, 22, 137 South Verrett Street, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on February 10, 2019, at 10:40 pm on a warrant for battery of a dating partner.

A deputy went to a residence on South Verrett Street in reference to a subject holding an active warrant. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the subject, Delira-Nunez. The deputy advised her of the active warrant.  Delira-Nunez was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.

 

Jose Rodriguez, 22, Unknown Address, was arrested on February 10, 2019, at 8:17 pm on a warrant for battery of a dating partner and criminal damage to property-simple.

A deputy patrolling the area of Morgan City observed a subject known as Rodriguez who is known to have an active warrant. The deputy made contact with Rodriguez and advised him of the active warrant.  Rodriguez was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.
