Arrest Report- February 22, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 26 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Jeremy Gamble, 21, 159 Elaine St., Bayou L’Ourse, La, was arrested on February 21, 2019, at 12:29 pm on charges of speeding and driving under suspension. 

A deputy working traffic on Highway 90 conducted a traffic stop for speeding.  Through the stop, Gamble was identified as the driver.  Upon further investigation, it was learned that Gamble was driving with a suspended driver’s license.  He was placed under arrest and released on a summons to appear in court on May 2, 2019.

 

Talencia Thomas, 27, 223 Arlington St., Lot 9, Bayou Vista, La, was arrested on February 21, 2019, at 2:36 pm on the charge of violation of protective order. 

A deputy received a complaint of violation of protective order.  Upon investigation, it was learned that Thomas went to a place of business where the protected person works, which is a violation of the order.  Thomas was located at Morgan City City Court and placed under arrest.  She was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bond was set at $2,500.

 

Harrison Short, 53, 301 Mallard St., Morgan City, La, was arrested on February 21, 2019, at 2:40 pm on two warrants for failure to appear. 

A bounty hunter located Short and turned him in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center to do a bond surrender.  It was learned that there were two outstanding warrants out for Short’s arrest.  He was booked into the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.  No bond has been set.

 

Adrian Hixson, 36, 321 Charlotte Dr., Patterson, La, was arrested on February 21, 2019, at 8:25 pm on five warrants for failure to appear. 

Deputies located Hixson at a residence on Charlotte Dr. in Patterson.  Hixson was placed under arrest on said warrants and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  No bond has been set.

 

Taylor Cox, 21, 2990 4th St., Berwick, La, was arrested on February 22, 2019, at 12:36 for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of crack cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of schedule IV drugs. 

A deputy was in the Berwick area on an unrelated complaint when he made contact with Cox.  Upon speaking with Cox, the deputy detected an odor of marijuana.  Through further investigation, a search warrant was obtained for the residence.  Upon searching the residence, marijuana, crack cocaine, Xanax pills, MDMA and a digital scale was located.  Cox was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.
