Arrest Report- February 27, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 33 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Jamarkus Anthony James, 28, 2207 Neco Town Rd., New Iberia, La, was arrested on February 26, 2019, at 8:51 am on a warrant for failure to appear.

James turned himself in on said warrant. He was booked into the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.  Bond was set at $500.

 

Scotty James Latiolais, 47, 9302 Coteau Rd., Erath, La, was arrested on February 26, 2019, at 10:19 am on a warrant for failure to appear.

Latiolais was located at the Lafayette Parish Correctional facility.  He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  No bond has been set.

 

Dana Renea Philyaw, 29, 240 Loul St., Lot C, Broussard, La, was arrested on February 26, 2019, at 10:23 am on a warrant for failure to appear.

Philyaw was located at the Lafayette Parish Correctional facility.  She was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond has been set at $10,000.

 

James Wayne Bullock, 51, 143 Village Ln., Amelia, La, was arrested on February 26, 2019, at 12:16 pm for monetary instrument abuse. 

A deputy responded to a counterfeit complaint in Amelia, La.  Upon speaking with the witness, it was learned that Bullock used counterfeit money to buy merchandise. Bullock was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  No bond has been set.

 

Raheem Hunter, 22, 303 Joseph St. B., Baldwin, La, was arrested on February 26, 2019, at 11:42 am on a warrant for failure to appear.

A deputy assisted another agency on a disturbance complaint.  Upon investigation, it was learned that there was an active warrant for Hunter.  He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bond was set at $250.

 

Garland Joseph Romero, II, 31, 2505 Highway 182, Patterson, La, was arrested on February 26, 2019, at 5:37 pm for simple burglary.

Deputies executed a search warrant at Romero’s residence on Bernice Street in Morgan City. During a search of the residence, items that were reported stolen were located.  Romero was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bond was set at $2,500.

 

Breyonna Verret, 17, 206 Jena St., Charenton, La, was arrested on February 26, 2019, at 1:19 pm for burglary of an inhabited dwelling. 

Deputies were conducting an investigation of a burglary in which several firearms were stolen.  Upon further investigation, it was learned that Verret took part in the burglary.  Verret was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  No bond has been set.

 

Anthony James Ackman, 37, 213 Darwin Rd., Centerville, La, was arrested on February 26, 2019, at 10:16 pm for domestic abuse battery (2nd offense), criminal damage to property and violation of protective order.

A deputy responded to a disturbance complaint in the area of Highway 182.  Upon further investigation, contact was made with Ackman and the victim.  The victim had a visible sign of bruising.  Ackman also damaged some of the victim’s property during the altercation. A protective order was in place prohibiting Ackman from going within 100 yards of the protected person.  Ackman was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

 

Kimberly Freyoux, 37, 409 Carol Rd., Bayou Vista, La, was arrested on February 26, 2019, at 6:40 pm for possession of schedule II, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of cds (drug-free zone).

Fonzie J. Wade, 43, 409 Carol Rd., Bayou Vista, La, was arrested on February 26, 2019, at 6:40 pm for possession of schedule II, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of cds (drug-free zone).

On February 26, 2019 detectives with the St. Mary Parish Narcotics Section conducted an investigation on Carol Rd.  The investigation was a result of multiple complaints received by the Narcotics Section. Upon arrival, detectives made contact with Freyoux and Wade and were given consent to search the residence. During the investigation, drugs were found inside the residence, which is located within 2,000 feet of a park and church.  Freyoux and Wade were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.
