Arrest Report- March 6, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 48-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 61 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Braylan Raedel Hamilton, Sr., 35, 524 Augustine Maze St., Franklin, La., was arrested on March 4, 2019, at 10:48 am on a warrant for failure to appear.

Hamilton was located at the above mentioned address on said warrant. He was transported to the St Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond was set at $2,608.90.

 

Michael Ray Morris, Jr., 20, 308 Talbot St., Franklin, La., was arrested on March 4, 2019, at 11:30 am for Battery on a Correctional Officer.

A deputy at the St Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center was serving lunch when Morris threw urine on him.  An additional charge of battery on a correctional officer was added.  Morris was booked into the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the additional charge. 

 

Angela T. Roach, 46, 223 Jones St., Berwick, La., was arrested on March 4, 2019, at 11:56 am on a warrant for theft.

A deputy located Roach at her residence and notified her of the above mentioned warrant. Roach was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond was set at $1,500.

 

Thomas Devin Remedies, 26, 1410 Second St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on March 4, 2019, at 3:20 pm for Theft, Possession of Methamphetamines, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Disturbing the Peace by Language, and Resisting Arrest or Officer.

A deputy was dispatched to a business in Bayou Vista in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, it was learned by a witness that Remedies was yelling profanities over his phone. The deputy was able to locate Remedies and was able to speak to him. The witness then advised the deputy of a large knife on his side and when the deputy questioned Remedies about having any weapons, he denied having any. A pat down was conducted where Remedies became irate with the deputies. Once the pat down was complete a total of two knives were found on Remedies. Remedies was found to have tags still on his belt he was wearing. A backpack was located and after the search was conducted by deputies on the backpack, more suspected items from the business were located as well as methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia. Remedies was transported to the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.

 

Elmer Singleton, Jr., 71, 10710 Frontage Rd., Amelia, La., was arrested on March 4, 2019, at 6:40 pm for Burning of Trash in a Residential Area Prohibited.

A deputy was dispatched to the area of Highway 182 in Amelia in reference to a large amount of black smoke in the area. When the deputy arrived on the scene, it was learned that the Amelia Fire Department was on the scene. After further investigation, it was learned Singleton was burning 18-wheeler tires. Singleton was placed under arrest and was issued a summons to appear in court.

 

Patricia Lynn Savoie, 47, 109 Elaine St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on March 4, 2019, at 7:36 am on a warrant for Failure to Appear.

A deputy was dispatched to a local business in Bayou Vista in reference to a subject having a warrant. Savoie was located and was advised of the warrant and was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.

 

Charles Michael Ratcliff, 31, 127 Fair Lane Dr., Gray, La., was arrested on March 5, 2019, at 2:51 am for Improper Lane Usage, Driving Under Suspension, Open Container, and Failure to Appear (4 cts.).

A deputy was patrolling the area of Highway 90 East near the Siracusa high rise when he observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation. The deputy then conducted a traffic stop and Ratcliff was identified as the driver. While the deputy was speaking with Ratcliff he observed an open alcoholic beverage in his vehicle. It was also learned Ratcliff had (3) active arrest warrants through Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office and (1) warrant through City Court in Thibodaux. He was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.

 

Raishon Hingle, 21, 2651 Highway 1, Labadieville, La., was arrested on March 5, 2019, at 3:26 am for Reckless Operation and Driving Under Suspension.

A deputy patrolling Highway 90 West observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. A traffic stop was conducted and Hingle was identified as the driver. It was learned that Hingle was driving with a suspended drivers license. He was issued a summons to appear in court on June 19, 2019.

 

Deondre Youman, 18, 317 Rod Ln., Baldwin, La., was arrested March 5, 2019, at 9:48 am on warrants for Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile and Contributing to Delinquency of a Juvenile.

Youman was located by a deputy at the above mention address. Youman was aware of the outstanding warrants. He was placed under arrest and transported to the St Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.

 

Darnell Ricardo Thompson, Sr., 38, 2301 Fourth St. #3, Jeanerette, La., was arrested March 5, 2019, at 9:53 am on a warrant for Failure to Appear.

Thompson turned himself into the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office. He was transported to the St Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond was set at $500.

 

Jasmiera Sade Jack, 19, 1158 ½ Highway 83, Franklin, La., was arrested on March 5, 2019, at 12:14 pm on warrants for Failure to Appear and Resisting Arrest or Officer.

An officer observed Jack walking on Oneal Chube St. in Franklin. When the officer approached Jack to notify her of an arrest warrant she began to flee from the officer. After a short foot pursuit, Jack was apprehended and placed under arrest. Jack was transported to the St Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.
