Arrest Report- March 7, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 42 complaints and reports the following arrests:
 

Calab Laurance Mitchell, 22, 7114 East Admiral Drive, New Iberia, La., was arrested on March 6, 2019, at 1:29 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of marijuana and a warrant for reckless operation of a vehicle, a warrant for operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled, and a warrant for simple battery.

Mitchell was located at the Lafayette Parish Jail on the above-mentioned warrants and was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.

 

Eldridge Jejuan Gibson III, 31, 129 Collins St., Baldwin, La., was arrested on March 6, 2019, at 2:10 pm for failure to appear for possession of Alprazolam, possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of marijuana (14 grams).

Gibson was located at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center when he was arrested on the above-mentioned failure to appear warrants. Gibson was booked into the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. No bond has been set.

 

Female Juvenile, 13, was arrested on March 6, 2019, at 8:20 pm for runaway juvenile.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence in Baldwin in reference to a juvenile suspected of being a runaway. The juvenile was located a short time later and charged accordingly. The juvenile was released back into the custody of her mother pending juvenile court action.

 

Burkin Jerome Dupre, 33, 1503 Cross Road #2, Bayou Vista, La., was arrested on March 7, 2019, at 12:13 am for failure to appear warrants for Morgan City Police Department.

Mary Janet Frisco, 37, 400 Camilia St., Jeanerette, La., was arrested on March 7, 2019, at 12:13 am for possession of marijuana.

Deputies were dispatched to a business in Bayou Vista in reference to a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival, deputies located the vehicle. Deputies then located two subjects in the vehicle and asked them both to step out of the vehicle. A check revealed Dupre had active failure to appear warrants from Morgan City Police Department. Frisco was asked by deputies if any narcotics were inside of the vehicle. She admitted there was marijuana in a box located inside the vehicle.  Deputies retrieved the box and confirmed marijuana was inside of the box. Frisco was issued a summons to appear in court on June 19, 2019. Dupre was transported to the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center for booking. He was then transported to Morgan City Police Department.
