Arrest Report- March 11, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 93 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Charles Emmit Rich, 73, Unknown Address., was arrested on March 8, 2019, at 8:42 am on vagrancy and remaining on property without permission.

Deputies were dispatched to a business in Bayou Vista in reference to a male suspect that had been warned a few days ago not to sleep in their parking lot. Upon arrival, the deputies located the suspect who was identified as Rich. When deputies approached Rich, he was tampering with a wooden fence and shaking the boards of the fence as if he was trying to break them. Deputies then placed Rich under arrest and he was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bond was set at $750.

 

Lacy Lynn Johnson, 34, 6316 Mary St., Gibson, La, was arrested on March 8, 2019, at 3:29 pm for theft.

A deputy was dispatched to a local business in Bayou Vista in reference to a female shoplifter. When the deputy arrived, the female suspect was identified as Johnson. Johnson was issued a summons to appear in court on June 19, 2019.

 
Wendy Touchet, 52, 1117 Main St., Patterson, La, was arrested on March 8, 2019, at 7:28 pm for theft. 

A deputy was dispatched to a business in Bayou Vista in reference to a theft. When the officer arrived, the suspect was identified as Touchet. After speaking with the complainant, it was learned the Touchet used the self-checkout and did not scan items that were in her shopping bag. Items were recovered totaling $14.88. Touchet was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on June 19, 2019.

 

Dondre Johnson, 19, 113 Kerry St., Baldwin, La, was arrested at March 9, 2019, at 7:45 pm for no tail lights and possession of marijuana. 

A deputy patrolling the Baldwin area near Martin Luther King Blvd. observed a vehicle having no operable taillights. The deputy then conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Johnson. After speaking with Johnson, a stronger odor of marijuana was coming from the vehicle. The deputy asked Johnson if he had any illegal drugs on him or in his vehicle and Johnson admitted having marijuana in the vehicle. Johnson was then placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on June 19, 2019.

 

Kenneth Joseph Tillman, Sr., 56, 100 N Coulee St., Baldwin, La, was arrested on March 8, 2019, at 8:17 pm for turning movements and required signals, driving while intoxicated (1st offense).

A deputy was patrolling the Baldwin area when he observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation. Upon making a traffic stop, the deputy identified the driver of the vehicle as Tillman. When the deputy was speaking to Tillman he noticed Tillman swaying and his speech was slurred. Tillman admitted he had been drinking earlier. The deputy transported Tillman to the Franklin Police Department for blood testing on the Intoxilyzer 9000 which his blood alcohol content tested 0.216g%. Tillman was arrested and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bond was set at $2000.

 

Craig Anthony Alexander Sr., 36, 100 North Coulee St., Baldwin, La, was arrested on March 9, 2019, at 12:49 am for driving under suspension, turning movements and required signals. 

A deputy patrolling the Baldwin area observed a vehicle turn without using turn signals. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Alexander. A background check on Alexander revealed he had a suspended license. Alexander was issued a summons to appear in court on June 19, 2019. 

 

Wilson Jovon Jackson, 37, 447 Sorrell Ln., Jeanerette, La, was arrested on March 9, 2019, at 2:04 am for no headlamps and driving under suspension. 

A deputy was patrolling the Baldwin area when he observed a vehicle traveling with only one operable headlight. The deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. The deputy identified the driver as Jackson. After speaking with Jackson and conducting a background check on her it was learned Jackson had a suspended license. Jackson was issued a summons to appear in court on June 19, 2019.

 

Jill Marie Parker, 44, 835 Two Brothers St., Amelia, La., was arrested on March 9, 2019, at 11:07 am for disturbing the peace intoxicated, possession of marijuana, possession of schedule II drugs (meth), possession of schedule IV drugs (Tramadol, Flexeril, & Clonazepam), Possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Julia McIntyre Bailey, 58, 835 Two Brothers St., Amelia, La, was arrested on March 9, 2019, at 11:07 am for possession of schedule III drugs, possession of schedule IV drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Bond has been set at $1,500.

Deputies were dispatched to a church where a female was sleeping inside a vehicle.  Upon arrival, deputies identified the female as Parker. While speaking with Parker it appeared she was under the influence of illegal narcotics. Parker was asked if she knew whose car she was sleeping in.  Parker said she assumed it was an employee of the church. Through the investigation, deputies learned where Parker was living. Parker gave deputies consent to search her residence. After searching Parker’s residence, deputies found drug paraphernalia, meth, and marijuana.  It was later learned that the night before, Parker used someone’s vehicle to go to a local casino. Deputies received consent to search that vehicle from its owner and deputies located pills. Contact was also made with Bailey at this residence.  A syringe was located in Bailey’s pocket.  Deputies located syringes, multiple prescription bottles, marijuana and drug paraphernalia belonging to Bailey.  Parker and Bailey were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.

 

Miguel Angel Perez-Bibian, 21, 120 Chirpys Ln., Amelia, La., was arrested on March 10, 2019, at 4:56 am for battery-simple.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence in Amelia in reference to a simple battery. Upon arrival, the deputy spoke to the victim. The victim stated he was at a party with some friends a few blocks away and when the victim and his friends were leaving the party, he was punched in the face by the suspect identified as Perez-Bibian. Perez-Bibian was located and a short time later and was arrested and booked into the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond was set at $2,500.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

Deonte D. Harris, 21, 2602 Clines Rd., Amelia, La, was arrested on March 8, 2019, at 3:47 pm on a warrant for 1 count of Distribution of Schedule I (marijuana), 1 count of violation of CDS law in a drug-free zone (Church).

Narcotics detectives located Harris while patrolling the Amelia area.  Detectives had knowledge of a warrant for Harris’ arrest. He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has set.
