Arrest Report- March 13, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 33 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Kori Anthony Jones, 28, 420 S. Landry Dr., New Iberia, La, was arrested on March 12, 2019, at 4:29 pm on a warrant charging him with failure to appear.

Jones was located at the Iberia Parish Jail on said warrant.  He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bond was set at $50,100.

 

Christopher Pollard, 33, 106 Shannon St., Patterson, La, was arrested on March 12, 2019, at 4:29 pm on four warrants charging him with failure to appear.

Pollard was located at the Monroe Parish Jail on said warrants.  Pollard was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bond was set at $206,781.35.

 

Jennifer Britt, 43, 209 Sunset St., Bayou Vista, La, was arrested on March 12, 2019, at 4:03 pm for driving under suspension and expired or no inspection sticker.

A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area observed a vehicle with no inspection sticker.  A traffic stop was conducted.  Through the stop, Britt was identified as the driver.  Upon further investigation, it was discovered that Britt was driving with a suspended driver’s license.  She was issued a summons to appear in court on June 19, 2019.

 

Julia Bailey, 58, 835 Two Brothers St., Amelia, La, was arrested on March 12, 2019, at 8:50 pm for possession of drug paraphernalia.

A deputy responded to a medical emergency at a residence in Amelia, La.  Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Bailey who was non-responsive.  Acadian Ambulance and first responder personnel arrived and rendered aid.  Upon further investigation, several items of drug paraphernalia were located.  Bailey was issued a summons to appear in court on June 19, 2019.

 

Chad Michael Bertrand, 34, 2696 ½ Fourth St., Berwick, La, was arrested on March 12, 2019, at 9:13 pm on a warrant charging him with failure to appear.

A deputy received information that Bertrand was at a business in Berwick, La.  The deputy went to the business and made contact with Bertrand.  He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bond was set at $66,065.62.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

Joseph Jude Harris, 38, 151 Friendship Alley, Amelia, La, was arrested on March 12, 2019, at 5:46 pm for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and violation of uniform controlled dangerous substance law (drug-free zone). Bond was set at $10,000.

Edward Lamont Williams, 43, 151 Friendship Alley, Amelia, La, was arrested on March 12, 2019, at 5:46 pm for possession of schedule II drugs (cocaine) with intent to distribute, transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses and violation of uniform controlled dangerous substance law (drug free zone). Bond was set at $14,000.

On March 12, 2019, Narcotics detectives conducted a search warrant at 151 Friendship Alley, Amelia, La.  Contact with made with Harris and Williams.  During the investigation, drugs were found in the residence, which is within 2,000 ft. of a church.  Harris and Williams were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.
