St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 29 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Jennifer Bienvenu, 42, 108 Marie St., New Iberia, La., was arrested on March 20, 2019, at 6:27 am on a warrant for theft.

Bienvenu was located at the Lafayette Parish Jail on the above-mentioned warrant.  She was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.

 

Cody Nicholas Parker, 35, 227 Southeast Blvd. # 1, Bayou Vista, La., was arrested on March 20, 2019, at 12:14 pm for an expired inspection sticker and a warrant for driving under suspension.

A deputy was patrolling the area of Main St. near Lipari St. in Patterson when he observed a vehicle with an expired inspection sticker. A traffic stop was conducted and the deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Parker. A background check on Parker revealed he had a warrant for driving under suspension. Parker was issued a summons to appear in court on June 19, 2019.

 

Byron Bernard Williams, 41, 465 Verdun Ln., Centerville, La., was arrested on March 20, 2019, at 2:09 pm for obscenity.

Deputies were sent to serve a protective order in Centerville, La. Area.  A background check on Williams revealed he had a warrant for obscenity. Williams was arrested and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond was set at $3,500.

 

Brett David Billiot, 30, 8270 Highway 182, Franklin, La., was arrested on March 20, 2019, at 7:00 pm on a warrant for simple battery.

Billiot was located at 8270 Highway 182, Franklin, La., by deputies on the above-mentioned warrant. Billiot was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond was set at $2,500.

 

Desmond Jerrod Richard, 37, 341 Mike Dr., Patterson, La., was arrested March 20, 2019, at 7:03 pm on a warrant for failure to appear for criminal neglect of family.

Richard was located at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center and booked on the above mention warrant. Bond was set at $8,023.39.

 

Wynn Candler Whitehurst, 43, 524 Joey St., Patterson, La., was arrested on March 20, 2019, at 8:02 pm on a warrant for cruelty to animals.

Whitehurst was located at 524 Joey St. Patterson, La., on the above-mentioned warrant. He was transported to the St. Mary Law Parish Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.
