St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 129 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Manuel Paul Fabre, 35, 128 Cecilia St., Amelia, La., was arrested on March 22, 2019, at 7:53 am for expired license plate, expired or no inspection sticker, no insurance and a warrant for failure to appear for speeding.

A deputy was patrolling the area of Lake Palourde Road near Julia Street in Amelia, La, when he observed a vehicle with an expired inspection sticker. The deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and identified the driver as Fabre. Fabre was unable to provide proof of insurance.  The vehicle also had an expired license plate. A background check on Fabre revealed he had a warrant for failure to appear for speeding. Fabre was arrested and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond was set at $8,250.

 

Danny Paul Savoie, 41, 721 Kentucky St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on March 22, 2019, at 2:37 pm on a warrant for failure to provide notification as a sex offender.

Savoie turned himself in on the above mentioned warrant. Savoie was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond was set at $500.

 

Jude Geraldo Franklin, 40, 140 South Clausen Rd., Franklin, La., was arrested on March 22, 2019, at 3:31 pm on a warrant for failure to appear for possession of drug paraphernalia (1st offense).

Franklin was located at the Iberia Parish Jail and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond was set at $1,500.

 

Chelsey Jack, 24, 109 Rod Lane, Baldwin, La., was arrested on March 22, 2019, at 9:47 pm on a warrant for aggravated battery (2nd degree), driving under suspension, and no child restraint.

A deputy was patrolling the area of Highway 182 in Baldwin, La., when he observed a vehicle with no license plate lights. A traffic stop was conducted and the deputy identified Jack as the driver. The deputy noticed a small child sitting in a booster seat who was not strapped in. A background check on Jack revealed she was driving under suspension and she had a warrant for aggravated battery (2nd degree) from the Baldwin Police Department. Jack was arrested and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  No bond has been set.

 

Jovian Jerome Clark, 37, 182 Friendship Alley, Amelia, La., was arrested on March 23, 2019, at 2:57 am on a warrant for failure to appear for possession of synthetic cannabinoids (1st offense).

Deputies located Clark in the Amelia, La. Area.   He was arrested on the above mentioned warrant. Clark was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.

 

Rahem Dominick Robertson, 25, 420 Sixth St., Franklin, La., was arrested on March 23, 2019, at 3:39 am for driving with a suspended license, following to close, and possession of marijuana.

 

Donnell Darby, 43, 106 Isabella St., Franklin, La., was arrested on March 23, 2019, at 3:28 am for possession of marijuana.

 

Destiny Darby, 19, # 6 Darce Drive, Franklin, La., was arrested on March 23, 2019, at 3:28 am for possession of marijuana.

 

Lajoyce Perro, 19, # 6 Darce Drive, Franklin, La., was arrested on March 23, 2019, at 3:28 am for possession of marijuana.

 

Brandon Davis, 40, 1205 Willow St., Franklin, La., was arrested on March 23, 2019, at 3:39 am on a warrant for criminal neglect of family.

Deputies patrolling the Baldwin, La., area observed a vehicle following extremely close to another vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted and identified the driver as Robertson. Robertson was unable to provide his driver’s license. While he was retrieving other paperwork deputies asked for, they noticed four more passengers inside the vehicle.  While speaking with the passengers, Robertson appeared nervous. Deputies asked Robertson for consent to search the vehicle, which he denied. At this time K9 Vickie was deployed and an open-air sniff was conducted. K9 Vickie alerted to the open-air sniff.  Deputies searched the vehicle by hand, at which time suspected marijuana was located. After further investigation, it was learned Davis had an active warrant for criminal neglect of family. Rahem Robertson, Donnell Darby, Destiny Darby, and Lajoyce Perro were issued a summons to appear in court on June 19, 2019. Brandon Davis was arrested on the above mentioned warrant and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond was set at $500.

 

Michael Miguel Gonzales, 31, 1110 Ditch Ave. A, Morgan City, La., was arrested on March 23, 2019, at 8:26 pm on warrants for failure to appear for revocation on the charge of simple criminal damage to property and failure to appear for resisting an officer and disturbing the peace.

Gonzales was located at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.  He was booked on the above mentioned warrants. No bond has been set.

 

Joshua Paul Francois, 27, 1813 K Street, Patterson, La., was arrested on March 24, 2019, at 12:01 am on a warrant from the Patterson Police Department for failure to appear on the charge of telephone harassment, a warrant from the Morgan City Police Department for failure to appear for driving while intoxicated (2nd offense) and probation violation.

 A deputy was patrolling the area of Southeast Blvd. in Bayou Vista, La., when he observed a vehicle with only one working tail light. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Francois. A background check revealed Francois had warrants for his arrest. Francois was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.

 

Tricia Margret Vicknair, 35, 325 Ledet Dr., Thibodaux, La., was arrested on March 25, 2019, at 6:31 pm for theft and a warrant from Lafourche Parish for failure to appear for contempt of court.

A deputy was dispatched to a business in Bayou Vista, La., in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, the deputy spoke with a witness who observed Vicknair taking items and putting them in her purse. After further investigation, it was learned Vicknair did take items from the business. A background check revealed Vicknair had an active warrant from Lafourche Parish for failure to appear. Vicknair was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond was set at $1,500.

 

Marquis Jamal Clark, 31, 706 Gabriel St., Patterson, La., was arrested on March 25, 2019, at 1:32 am for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

A deputy traveling east on Highway 90 observed a vehicle with no rear view mirror. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Clark. As the deputy was speaking to Clark, he admitted to having a firearm inside of his vehicle. A background check revealed Clark was a convicted felon. Clark was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.
