St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 118 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Korianne Parker Buck, 30, 308 Carol Rd., Bayou Vista, La., was arrested on March 29, 2019, at 9:13 am on warrants for failure to appear for possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to appear for disturbing the peace by fighting, and failure to appear for possession of anabolic steroid, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession or distribution of CDS in the presence of persons under 17, and resisting an officer.

 

Buck turned herself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the above-mentioned warrants. No bond has been set.

 

Brian Wayne Lauret, 42, 2118 Lagrange Robicheaux Rd., Franklin, La., was arrested on March 29, 2019, at 11:03 am on a warrant for carnal knowledge of a juvenile.

 

Lauret was located at his residence on the above-mentioned warrant. Lauret was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.

 

Jenna S. Posten, 24, 2021 River Rd., Berwick, La., was arrested on March 29, 2019, at 1:40 pm on warrants for failure to appear on the charges of direct contempt, speeding and failure to honor written promise, careless operation of a motor vehicle, failure to honor a written promise to appear.

 

Posten was located at a local business on Allison Street in Morgan City and arrested on the above-mentioned warrants. Posten was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond has been set at $740.

 

Martha Gatlin, 42, 802 Omega Dr., Lafayette, La., was arrested on March 29, 2019, at 2:57 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on arraignment for possession of Methamphetamine, possession/distribution/sale of a legend drug without a prescription.

 

Gatlin turned herself in at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin on the above-mentioned warrant. Gatlin was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.

 

Desha Luchitz Broussard, 37, 302 Cedar St. Franklin, La, was arrested on March 30, 2019, at 11:57 pm on a warrant for failure to appear. 

 

A deputy observed a vehicle traveling without a tail light.  A traffic stop was conducted and Broussard was identified as the driver.  Upon further investigation, it was learned that there was an active warrant for Broussard’s arrest.  She was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bond was set at $503.

 

Shelly Marie Lacaze, 41, 708 Fortins St. #105, Berwick, La., was arrested on March 30, 2019, at 2:48 pm on warrants for failure to appear for possession of roxycodone, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to appear for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

Lacaze was located at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the above-mentioned warrant. Bond has been set at $5,500.

 

Aaron Joseph Johnson, 33, 1207 Third St., Patterson, La., was arrested on March 30, 2019, at 8:22 pm for no taillights, driving under suspension, and a warrant from Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office for failure to appear for driving under suspension and signals.

 

Willie Joseph Johnlouis, Jr., 31, 401 Ira St., Jeanerette, La., was arrested on March 30, 2019, at 8:23 am on a warrant for failure to appear for possession of marijuana.

 

A deputy patrolling U.S. 90 eastbound near the Four Corners area observed a vehicle towing a trailer with no tail lights. A traffic stop was conducted and the deputy made contact with the driver identified as Johnson and the passenger identified as Johnlouis. A background check on Johnson and Johnlouis revealed the above-mentioned warrants. Johnson and Johnlouis were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set on Johnson or Johnlouis.

 

Shontranice Monique McDaniel, 23, 1513 Gum St. #8, Franklin, La., was arrested on March 31, 2019, at 12:33 am for aggravated assault and entry/remain on premises after being forbidden.

 

A deputy was dispatched to 155 Gum Point Lane in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the complainant who advised the deputy that McDaniel came into her yard with a baseball bat attempting to fight with the complainant's grandson. The deputy was also advised by the complainant that McDaniel was told to leave the premises numerous times. McDaniel was arrested and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.

 

Demetrius Roy King Green, 30, 428 Mike Dr., Patterson, La., was arrested on March 31, 2019, at 2:11 am for improper lane usage, driving under suspension, and possession of marijuana.

 

A deputy was patrolling the area of Allison St. and Justa St. in Morgan City, La., when he observed a vehicle signal without using a turn signal.  The deputy then turned around to try and catch up to the vehicle and observed the vehicle cross the fog and center line multiple times. A traffic stop was conducted and the deputy identified the driver as Green. After speaking with Green, he admitted to not having a license. The deputy also detected a small odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Green gave consent to the deputy to search the vehicle. During the search of the vehicle, a small bag of suspected marijuana was located. Green was issued a summons to appear in court on the above-mentioned charges on June 19, 2019.

 

Jennifer Rose Bourgeois, 36, 1002 Florida St., Delhi, La., was arrested on March 31, 2019, at 5:24 pm on warrants for failure to appear for aggravated battery, and failure to appear for stalking.

 

Bourgeois was located at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center and booked on the above-mentioned warrants. No bond has been set.

 

Seth James Matte, 25, 1034 Hwy. 1011 B, Napoleonville, La., was arrested on March 31, 2019, at 7:19 pm for no headlights and driving under suspension.

 

A deputy was patrolling the area of Duhon Blvd. near Barrow St. in Amelia, La., when he observed a vehicle with an inoperable right headlamp. A traffic stop was conducted and Matte was identified as the driver. A background check on Matte revealed he was driving under suspension. Matte was arrested and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond has been set at $1,250.

 

Shanequa Alexander, 27, 313 Emerie Lewis Ave., New Iberia, La., was arrested on April 1, 2019, at 2:09 am on a warrant for failure to appear for direct contempt, operating a vehicle without a driver's license, and failure to honor a written promise to appear.

 

Kierra Shantralell Washington, 28, 101 Lagrange Alley, New Iberia, La., was arrested on April 1, 2019, at 2:10 am for possession of marijuana.

 

Deshawn Anthony Johnson, 25, 413 W. Dale St., New Iberia, La., was arrested on April 1, 2019, at 2:10 am for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

Deputies were dispatched to a complaint in the area of A B Martin Rd. in Four Corners in reference to multiple subjects in a vehicle having weapons and wanting to harm a subject. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the driver of the vehicle identified as Washington. Deputies also identified Johnson and Alexander as occupants inside the vehicle. Deputies could smell a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Deputies spoke with Washington and Johnson and both admitted to having marijuana inside the vehicle. A background check on Alexander revealed the active above mentioned warrants. All three suspects were and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond has been set on Alexander at $299.50. Bond has been set on Washington at $3,500. Bond has been set on Johnson at $1,000.

 

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

 

Katelyn Hebert-Bourque, 28, 315 Allen St., New Iberia, La., was arrested on March 29, 2019, at 11:39 pm for tail lamps required, driving under suspension, and possession of a legend drug without a prescription.

 

John J. Finister, 26, 10536 Highway 182, Franklin, La., was arrested on March 29, 2019, at 11:39 pm for possession of schedule II drug (methamphetamine) with the intent to distribute, possession of schedule IV drug (Xanax), and possession of CDS in the presence of a minor.

 

A deputy with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office K9 Section was patrolling an area of highway 182 in Morgan City, La. when he observed a vehicle with the rear driver's side tail lamp not working. The deputy then conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver identified as Bourque and the passenger of the vehicle identified as Finister. Bourque admitted to the deputy she was driving with a suspended license. Both Bourque and Finister appeared nervous. The deputy asked Bourque for consent to search the vehicle at which she denied. K9 Buddy was deployed to conduct an open-air sniff. K9 Buddy was alerted to the presence of drugs in the vehicle. Officers with the Morgan City Police Department arrived on scene to assist with the search. During the search, Finister was observed reaching in his waistband pulling out a green canister containing suspected meth. Inside the vehicle, pills were found. Bourque was issued a summons on the above-mentioned charges to appear in court on June 19, 2019. Finister was arrested on the above-mentioned charges and was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set on Finister.
