St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 22 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Javantre Djohn Jackson, 24, 2135 Becnel St., Franklin, La., was arrested on April 8, 2019, at 3:22 pm for battery on a correctional officer.

 

Deputies at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center were feeding lunch when Jackson tried to steal another tray from the deputies. Deputies attempted to stop Jackson. Jackson started a physical altercation with the deputies, resulting in the above-mentioned charges. No bond has been set.

 

Scott Christopher Dehart, 37, 1920 Hwy. 182 East, Bayou Vista, La., was arrested on April 8, 2019, at 9:29 pm on a warrant for probation violation.

 

Dehart was located at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. He was booked on the above-mentioned warrant. No bond has been set.
