Arrest Report, April 11, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 43 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Julie Diane Welch, 40, 1808 Elizabeth Ave., Wichita Falls, Tx., was arrested on April 10, 2019, at 8:59 am on a warrant for failure to appear for a probation review.

 

Welch was located at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the above-mentioned warrant. Bond has been set $7,500.

 

John Allen Banks, 46, 100 Sorrell Lane #2, Jeanerette, La., was arrested on April 10, 2019, at 10:40 am on a warrant for distribution of schedule II drugs.

 

Banks was located at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin, La., on the above-mentioned warrant. He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond has been set at $15,000.

 

Raven Rene Smith Clements, 34, 19012 Highway 182 West, Jeanerette, La., was arrested on April 10, 2019, at 10:45 am on a warrant for failure to appear.

 

Clements was located at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin, La. on the above-mentioned warrant. She was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.

 

Amy Lyn Benoit, 29, 100 Moffett Court, Morgan City, La., was arrested on April 10, 2019, at 10:50 am on a warrant for failure to appear for possession of alprazolam (Xanax), possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

Benoit was located at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the above-mentioned warrant. No bond has been set.

 

Olivia Rene Prado, 25, 711 Lyons St., Sulphur, La., was arrested on April 10, 2019, at 1:58 pm on a warrant for failure to appear.

 

Prado was located at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the above-mentioned warrant. Bond has been set at $6,000.

 

Jerald Wayne Francois, 28, 111 St. Claire, Morgan City, La., was arrested on April 10, 2019, at 10:29 pm on warrants from Morgan City Police Department for failure to appear for simple battery, and failure to appear for theft.

 

A deputy was dispatched to a business in Patterson in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Francois. A background check on Francois revealed he had two active warrants from the Morgan City Police Department. He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond has been set at $1,405.

 

Travis Wayne Davis, 46, 1134 Martin Luther King, Charenton, La., was arrested on April 10, 2019, at 11:45 pm for speeding and a warrant for failure to appear for operating a vehicle without driver’s license on person.

 

A deputy was patrolling the area of highway 182 in Sorrell when he observed a vehicle traveling 65 mph in a 55 mph zone. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Davis. A background check on Davis revealed the above-mentioned warrant. Davis was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond has been set at $200.

 

Tyler Anthony Palmature, 21, 200 Universe St., Bayou Vista, La., was arrested on April 11, 2019, at 1:01 am for bicycle equipment required for night operation, possession of schedule IV drugs (Xanax), and a warrant for failure to appear for operating a vehicle while intoxicated (1st offense).

 

Deputies were traveling on Saturn Rd. from Pluto St. in Bayou Vista, La., when they observed two subjects on bicycles in the middle of Saturn Rd. The deputies did not observe any lights on the bicycles. Deputies made contact with a subject, identified as Palmature. While speaking with Palmature, he appeared nervous. Deputies asked Palmature if he had any illegal narcotics on his person, which he responded he did not.  A background check on Palmature revealed the above-mentioned warrant. While placing Palmature under arrest, deputies found a Xanax pill on his person. Palmature was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.
