St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 104 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

John Fitzgerald Gibson, 54, 104 Oak St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on April 12, 2019, at 11:20 am on warrants for failure to appear.

 

Gibson was located at his residence. He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking on the above-mentioned warrant. No bond has been set.

 

Clarence McBride, Jr., 51, 4151 Jimmy Johnson Blvd., #243, Port Authur, Tx, was arrested on April 12, 2019, at 12:36 pm on a warrant for failure to appear for attempted simple burglary.

 

McBride turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin, La., on the above-mentioned warrant. He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.

 

Neil Paul Scelfo, 55, 5213 Highway 87, Franklin, La., was arrested on April 13, 2019, at 2:54 pm on a warrant for failure to appear.

 

Scelfo was located at his residence. He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking on the above-mentioned warrant. Bond has been set at $500.

 

Randy Mark Pinkerton, 22, 101 Lori Lane, Lot #63, Patterson, La., was arrested on April 13, 2019, at 6:00 pm for burning of trash in a residential area.

 

On Thursday, April 11, 2019, a deputy was dispatched to the area of 101 Lori Lane in Patterson, La., in reference to a grass fire near a residence. After further investigation, it was learned Pinkerton started the fire. Pinkerton was issued a summons to appear in court on July 29, 2019.

 

Tayler James Davis, 20, 124 Natalie Lane, Patterson, La., was arrested on April 13, 2019, at 7:23 pm for disturbing the peace by loud noise and resisting an officer (x2).

 

Deputies were dispatched to a call of a disturbance at the Bayou Vista skate park. Upon arrival, deputies were flagged down by a witness who told deputies a male subject, who was identified as Davis, was running down Lagonda St. in Bayou Vista, La. The witness stated he saw Davis get into a vehicle and flee the area. Berwick Police located Davis a short time later in the city limits of Berwick. Davis again fled from officers on foot.   Davis was apprehended a short time later in a wooded area in Berwick. He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond has been set at $5,250.

 

Dwight Demond Collins, 41, 108 Collins Lane, Charenton, La., was arrested on April 13, 2019, at 9:58 pm for domestic abuse battery.

 

A deputy was dispatched to Collins Lane in Charenton, La., in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, the deputy observed a female juvenile extremely distraught. The deputy observed bruising on the left side of her lip. After further investigation, Collins was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.
