St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 36 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Female Juvenile, 15, was arrested on April 16, 2019, at 9:00 am for runaway juvenile.

A deputy went to a residence for a follow-up investigation in reference to a runaway juvenile. Upon further investigation, the juvenile was located and arrested on the above-mentioned charges. She was released to a guardian pending juvenile court action.

 

Kayla Michelle Francise, 21, 2008 Keith St. #26, Morgan City, La., was arrested on April 16, 2019, at 11:10 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of disturbing the peace by fighting and possession of marijuana (14 grams or less).

A deputy observed Francise arguing with a male subject in the parking lot of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in Morgan City. A background check on Francise revealed she had the active warrant. She was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond has been set at $2,500.

 

Tasha Lynn Soprano, 39, 202 Turner St., Franklin, La., was arrested on April 16, 2019, at 2:10 pm for battery of a dating partner.

Seth Aurelius Kidder, 39, 118 Hebert Rd., Franklin, La., was arrested on April 16, 2019, at 2:10 pm for battery of a dating partner and criminal damage to property.

A deputy was dispatched to 118 Hebert St. in Franklin, La. in reference to a complaint of criminal damage to property. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the complainant identified as Soprano. She told the deputy that Kidder had thrown all of her things outside and broke them. After further investigation, it was learned that both Soprano and Kidder had been in an altercation. Both were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set on Soprano and Kidder.

 

Homer "Rickey" Romero, 66, 370 Hunting Rd., Ricohoc, La., was arrested on April 16, 2019, at 2:52 pm for disturbing the peace by language.

Louis Lee Torres, 61, 370 Hunting Rd., Ricohoc, La., was arrested on April 16, 2019, at 2:52 pm for disturbing the peace by language.

A deputy was dispatched to 370 Hunting Rd. in Ricohoc, La. in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the complainant. After further investigation, it was learned that Romero and Torres had been in a verbal altercation using vulgar language. Both were issued a summons to appear in court on July 29, 2019.

 

Roger Barahona, 31, 1220 Clements Lane #4, Bayou Vista, La., was arrested on April 16, 4:04 pm on warrants for carnal knowledge of a juvenile, indecent behavior with a juvenile, and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.

Deputies located Barahona at 1220 Clements Lane #4 in Bayou Vista, La. on the above-mentioned warrants. Barahona was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.

 

Joseph Singleton, Jr., 19, was arrested on April 16, 2019, at 4:20 pm on a warrant for failure to appear for possession of marijuana (14 grams or less), possession of drug paraphernalia (1st offense), and improper turn and/or failure to give required signal.

Singleton was located at 912 Jason St. in Patterson, La. on the active warrant. He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond has been set at $500.

 

Palmer Cox IV, 54, 747 Oregon St., Berwick, La. was arrested on April 16, 2019, at 8:18 pm on warrants for failure to appear for drug court status (x2), and failure to appear for traffic arraignment.

Cox was located at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the active warrants and booked. Bond has been set at $350.
