St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 41 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Antoine David Booker, 34, 1301 Hwy. 83, Franklin, La., was arrested on May 9, 2019, at 12:15 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family.

 

Booker turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the active warrant. Bond has been set at $2,122.18.

 

Dell Nelson, 36, 1714 Federal Ave., Morgan City, La., was arrested on May 9, 2019, at 2:06 pm for theft (under $1,000).

 

A deputy was dispatched to a business in Bayou Vista, La. in reference to a theft complaint. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the complainant. After further investigation, it was learned that Nelson had swapped tags on items inside the business so she would not have to pay full price for the items. She was issued a summons to appear in court on August 28, 2019.

 

Damenn Matthew Stansbury, 50, 121 SJ Lane, Franklin, La., was arrested on May 9, 2019, 9:17 pm on a warrant from Franklin Police Department for failure to appear on the charge of violation of a protective order.

 

Stansbury was located at the intersection of Oakdale St. and Iberia St. in Franklin, La. on the active warrant. He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.

 

Female Juvenile, 16, was arrested on May 9, 2019, at 9:40 pm for runaway juvenile.

 

Deputies were dispatched to a residence in reference to a runaway juvenile. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the complainant who advised deputies that the female juvenile left the residence without permission. The female juvenile was located and arrested on the above-mentioned charge. She was released to a guardian pending juvenile court action.
