St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 107 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Patricia Ann Gray, 51, 1710 Guyther St. Patterson, La., was arrested on May 10, 2019, at 1:39 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled.

 

Gray turned herself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the active warrant. Bond has been set at $1,000.

 

Tyler Joseph Voisin, 27, 126 Elm St., B, Centerville, La., was arrested on May 10, 2019, at 2:32 pm for window tint violation, driving under suspension, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

 

Deputies were stationary on Hwy. 90 when he observed a vehicle's window tint to be extremely dark. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and contact was made with the driver, identified as Voisin. While speaking with Voisin, he appeared to be nervous. Upon searching the vehicle, deputies located marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a pistol. A background check on Voisin revealed he was driving under suspension and he was a convicted felon. Voisin was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond has been set at $10,000.

 

Nicole Marie Hillebrandt, 40, 219 Ema St., Lafayette, La., was arrested on May 10, 2019, at 3:20 pm on a warrant for failure to appear for arraignment on the charges of operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled and speeding.

 

Hillebrandt was located at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin, La. on the active warrant. She was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond has been set at $1,500.

 

Bobby Roy Lockett, 56, 104 Jolivette St., Baldwin, La., was arrested on May 10, 2019, at 9:08 for careless operation with an accident, driving under suspension and driving while intoxicated (1st offense).

 

A deputy was dispatched to 1773 Hwy. 83 in Ashton, La. for a single vehicle accident. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Lockett. While speaking to Lockett, the deputy could smell a strong odor of alcohol emitting from his person. Lockett admitted he had been consuming alcohol. The deputy transported Lockett to the Franklin Police Department for chemical testing on the Intoxilyzer 9000. Lockett’s blood alcohol content tested 0.271g%. A background check on Lockett revealed he was driving under suspension. Lockett was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond has been set at $4,000.

 

Je'drick Jamal Gunner, 23, 508 Lima St., Berwick, La., was arrested on May 11, 2019, at 2:19 am for contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.

 

Niasia Jones, 20, 445 Southeast Blvd., Bayou Vista, La, was arrested on May 11, 2019, at 2:22 am for unlawful purchase/public possession of alcoholic beverage.

 

Kamyria J. Benton, 18, 116 Freeman St., Patterson, La., was arrested on May 11, 2019, at 2:22 am for unlawful purchase/public possession of alcoholic beverage.

 

Chyna B. Druilhet, 19, 115 Collins St., Baldwin, La., was arrested on May 11, 2019, at 2:22 am for unlawful purchase/public possession of alcoholic beverage.

 

Deputies were assisting Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries with a traffic stop on Hwy. 182 in Berwick, La. and made contact with the driver, identified as Gunner. Deputies also made contact with all three passengers inside the vehicle, identified as Jones, Druilhet, and Benton. While speaking with Gunner, deputies saw an open container in the vehicle. Upon searching the vehicle, more alcohol was located. Gunner was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Bond on Gunner was set at $1,000. Benton, Jones, and Druilhet were issued summons to appear in court on August 28, 2019.

 

Jarred Knight, 33, 100 Cypress St., Bayou Vista, La., was arrested on May 11, 2019, at 3:21 am for license plate lights required, driving under suspension, and possession of marijuana.

 

A deputy was patrolling the area of Hwy. 90 when he observed a vehicle operating with no license plate light. A traffic stop was conducted and the deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Knight. While speaking with Knight, he appeared to be nervous. Consent to search the vehicle was granted by Knight. During the search of the vehicle, marijuana was located. A background check on Knight revealed he was driving under suspension. He was issued a summons to appear in court on August 28, 2019.

 

Elmer Adan Galeas-Canizales, 27, 602 Barrow St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on May 11, 2019, at 8:53 am on a warrant for failure to appear for violation notice for animals at large.

 

A deputy assisting with a traffic crash made contact with Galeas-Canizales. A background check on Galeas-Canizales revealed the active warrant. He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond has been set at $25.

 

Darren James Darby, 23, 601 Isabella St., Franklin, La., was arrested on May 11, 2019, at 10:47 am for battery of a correctional officer, and simple criminal damage to property.

 

A deputy performing duties at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center was punched by an inmate, identified as Darby. Darby also damaged a sprinkler located in one of the cells. Darby was then placed under arrest on the above listed charges.

 

Alacita D. Moore, 37, 6946 East Monarch Dr., Baton Rouge, La., was arrested on May 11, 2019, at 7:44 pm for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

A deputy was traveling west on Hwy. 90 taking the Berwick, La. exit when he observed a vehicle cross the fog line. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and contact was made with the driver and the passenger, identified as Moore. While speaking with Moore, she appeared to be nervous. Upon Moore exiting the vehicle, she had a black bag on her person. During a search of the bag, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were located. Moore was issued a summons to appear in court on August 28, 2018.

 

Philip Jerome Jordan, 53, 1201 James St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on May 12, 2019, at 1:47 am on warrants from Morgan City Police Department for failure to appear for contempt of court and possession of marijuana (14 grams or less).

 

A deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for driving with a burnt headlight. The deputy made contact with the driver of the vehicle, identified as Jordan. A background check on Jordan revealed the active warrants. He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond has been set at $25,000.

 

Jason J. Zimmerman, 33, 7247 Hwy.182 East, # 41, Morgan City, La., was arrested on May 12, 2019, at 10:13 am for simple burglary, possession of schedule II drugs (methamphetamine), and possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

A deputy was dispatched to a business on Canal Rd. in Bayou Vista, La. in reference to a burglary. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the complainant. The complainant gave a description of the subject, later identified as Zimmerman, and advised he left walking down Clark Rd. in Bayou Vista, La. The deputy observed Zimmerman matching the description and made contact with him. After further investigation, it was learned that Zimmerman had committed a burglary on the business. During the course of the investigation, items were located in Zimmerman's possession that was taken from the burglary. He was also in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Zimmerman was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.

 

Clint M. Bishop, 49, 4232 Chitimacha Trail, Charenton, La., was arrested on May 12, 2019, at 3:35 pm for simple assault.

 

Deputies were dispatched to Flattown Rd. in Charenton, La., in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, deputies made contact Bishop. After further investigation, it was learned that witnesses stated Bishop had pulled out a gun on the complainant. Bishop was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. He was released on his own recognizance.

 

Charlene Marie Dugas, 51, 3522 Hwy. 182, #3, Berwick, La., was arrested on May 12, 2019, 7:49 pm for cruelty to animals and driving under suspension.

 

A deputy was patrolling a parking lot in the Amelia, La. when he was contacted by an on-duty security supervisor about a dog being locked inside of a vehicle. There were no cracks in the windows and the vehicle was not running.  The dog appeared to be in distress as it was sweating and drooling and appeared to be dehydrated.  The deputy made contact with the owner of the vehicle, identified as Dugas. After further investigation, it was learned Dugas had left the dog inside the vehicle. A background check on Dugas revealed she was driving under suspension. She was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond has been set at $2,000.

 

Tessa Michelle Pilgrim, 40, 930 Lake Palourde Rd., Amelia, La., was arrested on May 12, 2019, at 7:22 pm for switched license plate/stolen license plate, driving under suspension, no insurance, and warrants from Morgan City Police Department for failure to appear on the charges of theft by shoplifting (1st offense), introduction of contraband into jail, and contempt of court.

 

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with a switched license plate. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Pilgrim, was unable to provide proof of insurance on the vehicle. A background check on Pilgrim revealed she was driving under suspension and she had active warrants from Morgan City Police Department. She was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond has been set at $1,500.

 

Alaina L. Marks, 29, 630 Shannon St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on May 12, 2019, at 11:36 pm for improper lane usage, DWI (1st offense) with child endangerment, resisting a police officer with force or violence, false representation, and introduction of contraband into a penal institute.

 

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle due to a reckless driving complaint in the Centerville, La. area. Deputies made contact with the driver, identified as Marks. While speaking with Marks, the deputies notice three children inside the vehicle. Deputies could smell a strong odor of alcohol emitting from her breath and her speech was slurred. A field sobriety test was conducted in which Marks performed poorly. While Marks' was being placed under arrest, she became hostile and almost striking a deputy in the face. Marks was transported to the Franklin Police Department for chemical testing on the Intoxilyzer 9000, which she refused.  Marks was then transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.

 

Baltazar Calderon-Perez, 49, 127 Parro Ln., Lot # 6, Berwick, La, was arrested on May 13, 2019, on a warrant for failure to appear.

 

A deputy was traveling on Hwy. 182 Frontage Rd. near the Amelia Bridge when he observed a vehicle fail to come to a complete stop at a stop sign. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and contact was made with the driver, identified as Perez. A background check on Perez revealed the active warrant. He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.
