St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 33 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Alexus Nicole Bourque, 22, 218 Terry Paul St., New Iberia, La., was arrested on May 15, 2019, at 10:36 am for speeding 20 to 25 mph.

 

A deputy was traveling south on Ralph Darden Express Parkway in Baldwin, La. when he observed a vehicle traveling north at a high rate of speed. A traffic stop was conducted and contact was made with the driver, identified as Bourque. She was issued a summons to appear in court on August 28, 2019.

 

Jessica Paige Smith, 31, 1825 Filmore St., Morgan City, La, was arrested on May 15, 2019, at 2:50 pm on a warrant for theft.

 

Smith was located on Aucoin St. in Morgan City on the active warrant.  She was issued a summons to appear in court on August 28, 2019.

 

Cory Robert Frank Jones, 34, 562 Ehrlich St., Berwick, La., was arrested on May 15, 2019, at 3:36 pm on a warrant for failure to appear.

 

Jones was located in Patterson, La. on the active warrant. He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond was set at $2,000.

 

Danielle Ruth Jones, 32, 1183 Stephensville Rd., #6, Stephensville, La., was arrested on May 15, 2019, at 3:52 pm on a warrant for failure to appear.

 

Jones was located in Patterson, La. on the active warrant. She was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.

 

Conley Thomas Jones, 70, 1366 Joseph St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on May 15, 2019, at 7:22 pm for resisting arrest or officer and warrants from Morgan City Police Department for failure to appear (x2).

 

A deputy was patrolling the area of Hwy. 182 and James St. in the Siracusaville area when he observed Jones walking. The deputy attempted to make contact with Jones when he began to flee. After a short foot pursuit, the deputy was able to apprehend Jones. A background check revealed the active warrants. Jones was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond has been set at $2,500.

 

Jonathan Wayne Ashley, 30, 8500 Hwy. 182, Centerville, La., was arrested on May 16, 2019, at 2:01 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of methamphetamine (less than 2 grams), obstruction of justice by tampering with evidence and introducing or possessing contraband in any municipal or parish prison.

 

Ashley was located at 5711 Hwy. 182 in Ricohoc, La. on the active warrant. He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.
