Arrest Report, May 20, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 138 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Amaodra Joseph Ledet, 23, 2128 Main St., Jeanerette, La., was arrested on May 17, 2019, at 1:47 pm on a warrant for failure to appear for arraignment for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

 

A deputy was dispatched 153 Fortier Circle in Jeanerette, La. in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Ledet. A background check on Ledet revealed the active warrant. He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond has been set at $10,000.

 

Male Juvenile, 15, was arrested on May 17, 2019, at 2:26 pm for terrorizing.

 

Deputies were called to Hwy 182 in the Centerville area in reference to a male juvenile making threats. Upon arrival, deputies spoke to the complainant and witnesses. Upon further investigation, the male juvenile was charged with terrorizing. He was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

 

Male Juvenile, 13, was arrested on May 17, 2019, at 4:31 pm for aggravated flight from an officer, no driver's license, careless operation, safety helmet required, proper equipment required and insurance required.

 

A deputy was traveling down Chitimacha Trail near Main St. in Baldwin, La. when he observed a dirt bike on the roadway heading towards him. He observed the operator not wearing a safety helmet and the dirt bike with no proper equipment to operate on a roadway. The dirt bike traveled into the cane field and struck a vehicle.  The juvenile was placed under arrest.  He was released to a guardian pending juvenile court action.

 

Kevin Tyrone Loston, Jr., 25, 417 Lockette Ln., Franklin, La., was arrested on May 17, 2019, at 6:36 pm domestic abuse battery (2 counts), and resisting an officer with force.

 

Deputies were dispatched to 212 Easy St. in Saint Joseph, La. in reference to a domestic disturbance in progress. Upon arrival, deputies, with the assistance of the Franklin Police Department, made contact with the complainant. Through further investigation, it was learned that Loston was involved in a physical altercation with the complainant. Upon placing Loston under arrest, he began kicking at the officer. He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond has been set at $5,000.

 

Vincent Ardell Thomas, Jr., 25, 511 Southwest Tyler St., Topeka, Ks, was arrested on May 17, 2019, at 11:30 pm on a warrant for probation violation (felony).

 

Thomas was located at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the active warrant. No bond has been set.

 

Brad David Landry, 38, 409 Louisa St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on May 18, 2019, 2:52 am for possession of marijuana.

 

A deputy observed a male subject walking in a parking lot of a business that was closed in Berwick, La. The deputy made contact with the subject, identified as Landry. While speaking with Landry, he appeared nervous. Consent to search Landry's person was granted. During the search, marijuana was located. Landry was issued a summons to appear in court on August 28, 2019.

 

Catina Marie Vaughan, 46, 1002 A St., Franklin, La., was arrested on May 18, 2019, at 10:41 am for driving under suspension.

 

A deputy was traveling south on Katy Bridge Approach in Franklin, La. when he observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and contact was made with the driver, identified as Vaughan. A background check on Vaughan revealed she was driving under suspension. She was issued a summons to appear in court on August 28, 2019.

 

Erika Jane Lagrange, 39, 203 Mechanic St., Franklin, La., was arrested on May 18, 2019, at 1:43 pm on a warrant for failure to appear for trial for illegal possession of stolen things over $1,500 and contributing to the delinquency of juveniles.

 

A deputy assisting with a traffic stop made contact with the passenger of a vehicle, identified as Lagrange. A background check on Lagrange revealed the active warrant. She was transported to at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.

 

Alton Levine Fine, 28, 109 Blakesley St., Lot #41, Franklin, La., was arrested on May 18, 2019, at 5:25 pm for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

De'Vontrius Kerron Perro, 21, 615 Bigler St., Franklin, La., was arrested on May 18, 2019, at 5:38 pm for speeding 11 to 15 mph and possession of schedule II drugs (crack cocaine).

 

A deputy observed a vehicle exit a parking lot of a local business in Franklin, La. and turn onto Barrow St. at a high rate of speed. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and contact was made with the driver, identified as Perro, and the passenger, identified as Fine. While speaking with both subjects, they appeared to be nervous. Consent to search the vehicle was granted by Perro. During the search of the vehicle, crack cocaine was located. During the search of Fine's person, marijuana and drug paraphernalia was located. Fine was issued a summons to appear in court on August 28, 2019. Perro was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond has been set $15,000.

 

Omaar Mendoza Oses, 56, 128 Jane Ln., Thibodaux, La., was arrested on May 18, 2019, at 8:09 pm for hit and run.

 

A deputy was dispatched to Lake Palourde Rd. in Amelia, La. in reference to a hit and run. Upon arrival, the deputy spoke with the complainant. Upon further investigation, it was learned Oses was the driver involved in the hit and run. He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set. 

 

Tyler James Archon, 24, 1810 Neco Town Rd., New Iberia, La., was arrested on May 18, 2019, at 8:22 pm for no headlights, possession of marijuana, and possession of schedule V drugs (promethazine).

 

A deputy observed a vehicle on Highway 90 East traveling with no headlights. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and contact was made with the driver, identified as Archon. While speaking with Archon, the deputy could smell a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Consent to search the vehicle was granted by Archon. During the search of the vehicle, marijuana and promethazine with codeine were located. Archon was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond has been set at $18,000.

 

Kristopher Lawrence Savoie, 39, 714 Leonard St., Patterson, La., was arrested on May 19, 2019, at 5:41 am for possession of schedule II drugs (methamphetamines).

 

John Phillip Yates, Jr., 39, 611 Arenz St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on May 19, 2019, at 5:41 am for possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

A deputy traveling on Hwy. 90 eastbound observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and contact was made with the driver of the vehicle. While speaking with the driver and passengers of the vehicle, all appeared to be nervous. Consent to search the vehicle was granted by the driver. During the search of the vehicle, methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia were located. It was later learned the methamphetamines belong to Savoie and the drug paraphernalia belonged to Yates. Yates was issued a summons to appear in court on August 28, 2019. Savoie was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond has been set at $2,500.

 

Jeanie Gail Baham Thompson, 42, 61204 Hwy. 445, Amite, La., was arrested on May 19, 2019, at 7:13 am for reckless operation and driving under suspension.

 

A deputy was traveling on Hwy. 90 in the Patterson, La. area when he observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. The deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with the driver, identified as Thompson. A background check on Thompson revealed she was driving under suspension. She was issued a summons to appear in court on August 28, 2019.

 

Jules Anthony Druilhet, Jr., 45, 140 Bodin St., Franklin, La., was arrested on May 19, 2019, at 12:45 pm for resisting a police officer with force or violence and warrants from Baldwin Police Department for domestic abuse battery, violation of protective order, home invasion, criminal trespass, and simple battery.

 

Deputies were patrolling the area of Bollard St. in Baldwin when they observed Druilhet pass by in a vehicle.  Deputies were aware of the active warrant for his arrest. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and deputies observed Druilhet flee from the vehicle. After a short foot pursuit, Druilhet was apprehended. He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond was set at $100,000.

 

Shanquelyn Ladel Druilhet, 42, 120 Fox Ln., Franklin, La., was arrested on May 19, 2019, at 1:01 pm on a warrant for failure to appear.

 

Druilhet was located on School House Rd. in Baldwin, La. on the active warrant. She was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.

 

Cameron Joshua Campos, 19, 500 Whitworth, Berwick, La., was arrested on May 19, 2019, at 4:56 pm for simple criminal damage to property and criminal trespass.

 

Corey Taylor, 32, 149 Two Sisters Ct., Bayou Vista, La., was arrested on May 19, 2019, 4:56 pm for simple criminal damage to property and criminal trespass.

 

A deputy was dispatched to the area of Victoria Riverside Dr. in Patterson, La. in reference to a vehicle stuck in the mud. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with both Campos and Taylor. It was learned that Campos and Taylor were mud riding on private property. Both were issued summons to appear in court on August 28, 2019.

 

Natoya Cheryll Singleton, 28, 721 Chetta Ln., Morgan City, La., was arrested on May 19, 2019, at 9:49 pm for no headlights and driving under suspension.

 

A deputy was stationary in the area of Progress Ln. and Chetta Ln. in Morgan City, La. when he observed a vehicle traveling with an inoperable left headlamp. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and contact was made with the driver, identified as Singleton. A background check on Singleton revealed she was driving under suspension. She was issued a summons to appear in court on August 28, 2019.
