St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 29 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Kriston Joseph Carter, 38, 1007 Carol St., Franklin, La., was arrested on May 21, 2019, at 2:06 pm on a warrant for probation violation.

 

Carter was located at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the above-mentioned warrant. Bond has been set at $7,500.

 

Jonathan Wayne Ashley, 30, 8501 Hwy 182, Centerville, La., was arrested on May 22, 2019, at 5:47 am for violation of protective orders.

 

Deputies were dispatched to 5711 Hwy 182 in Ricohoc, La. in reference to a violation of a protective order. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with Ashley. A background check revealed there was an active protective order in place against him. Ashley was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond has been set at $2,500.

 

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

 

Quintin McKenzy Nerve, 35, 214 Champion St., Gray, La., was arrested on May 21, 2019, at 4:25 pm turning signal required, possession of MDMA, possession of synthetic cannabinoids, and possession of Promethazine with the intent to distribute.

 

Narcotics detectives were patrolling the Franklin area when they observed a vehicle turn without using a turn signal. A traffic stop was conducted and contact was made with the driver, identified as Nerve. While speaking with Nerve, detectives observed a pill bottle with liquid inside, identified by Nerve to be promethazine. During a search of the vehicle, MDMA was located. During a search of his person, a bag of synthetic cannabinoids was located. Nerve was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond has been set at $10,000.

 

Shacoby Lukus Johnson, 23, 631 Eighth St., Franklin, La., was arrested on May 21, 2019, at 4:58 pm for failure to signal 100 ft. prior to turn, resisting an officer, obstruction of justice, possession of MDMA with the intent to distribute, possession of synthetic cannabinoids with the intent to distribute, and possession of promethazine with the intent to distribute.

 

Iesha Patrice Davis, 28, 618 Anderson St., Franklin, La., was arrested on May 21, 2019, at 4:58 pm for possession of MDMA, possession of synthetic cannabinoids, obstruction of justice, and entering contraband into a penal institution.

 

Narcotics detectives were traveling on Anderson St. in Franklin, La. and observed a vehicle fail to signal 100 ft. prior to turning into a driveway. Detectives made contact with the driver, identified as Johnson, and the passenger, identified as Davis. Through further investigation, detectives were able to locate MDMA pills, synthetic cannabinoids, and promethazine. Once inside the Law Enforcement Center, synthetic cannabinoids were located on Davis, which she tried to discard.  Bond has been set on Johnson at $20,000. No bond has been set on Davis.
