St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 40 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Jonathan Wayne Ashley, 30, 8501 Hwy 182, Centerville, La., was arrested on May 22, 2019, on a warrant for violation of protective order.

 

Ashley was located at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the active warrant. Bond has been set at $5,000.

 

Samuel Jason Lacoste, 40, 401 Brashear Ave., Morgan City, La., was arrested on May 22, 2019, at 4:53 pm on a warrant for failure to appear for a drug court conference on the original charge of simple burglary.

 

Lacoste was located at 129 Natalie Ln. in Patterson on the active warrant. He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.

 

Keith Dewayne Robinson, 39, 492 Verdun Ln., Centerville, La., was arrested on May 22, 2019, at 7:50 pm for license plate obstruction and driving under suspension.

 

A deputy was patrolling the area of Irish Bend Rd. and Hwy 182 in Franklin, La. when he observed a vehicle without a license plate. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle. Upon the vehicle coming to a stop, the deputy observed the license plate being covered by a dark license plate cover. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Robinson. A background check on Robinson revealed he was driving under suspension. Robinson was issued a summons to appear in court on August 28, 2019.

 

Ashley Marie Adams, 35, 11511 Hwy 182, Franklin, La., was arrested on May 23, 2019, at 1:40 am for possession of schedule II drugs with the intent to distribute (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

Deputies were patrolling the area of Hwy 182 near Hwy 317 in Franklin, La. when they observed a subject walking wearing dark colored clothing. Deputies made contact with the subject, identified as Adams, on Elm St. near Hwy 182. While speaking with Adams, she appeared to be nervous. Consent was given by Adams to search bags she was carrying. During the search, methamphetamine and a digital scale were located. Adams was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.
