St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 45 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Scorpio Lemon, 36, 214 Rosebud St., Baldwin, La., was arrested on May 31, 2019, for criminal trespass and theft under $1,000.

 

On Monday, April 22, 2019, the SMPSO began an investigation into a theft of lawn equipment from LA Hwy. 87 in Jeanerette, La. Through further investigation, Lemon was identified as the suspect. Bond was set at $5,000.

 

Charlotte Tonya Bracamontes, 31, 122 Rayne Ct., D, Morgan City, La., was arrested on June 3, 2019, at 10:21 am on a warrant for failure to appear (x2).

 

Bracamontes was transported from the Lafayette Parish Jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the active warrants. No bond has been set.

 

Anthony R. LeBlanc, Jr., 22, 700 Pecan Dr., Franklin, La., was arrested on June 3, 2019, at 3:20 pm for reckless operation of a vehicle, aggravated flight from an officer (x4) and riding on levee prohibited.

 

Deputies observed a motorcycle traveling over 100 mph on Hwy. 90 westbound in the Patterson, La. area with Patterson Police Department attempting to conduct a traffic stop. Deputies pursued the motorcycle and after a short chase, were able to apprehend and identify the driver as LeBlanc. LeBlanc was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.
