Arrest Report, June 6, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 39 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Amy Michelle Morrison, 29, 700 ½ Belanger St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on June 5, 2019, at 10:36 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of methamphetamine.

 

Morrison tuned herself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Branch Office in Morgan City, La. on the active warrant. She was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.

 

Bryanshekia Shantell Harris, 31, 415 Adams St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on June 5, 2019, at 12:46 pm on warrants for failure to appear on the charges of theft under $1,000 and battery of a dating partner (1st offense).

 

Harris was located at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the active warrant. Bond has been set at $2,900.

 

James Randy Guerin, Jr., 41, 5328 Hwy. 182, Lot #79, Patterson, La., was arrested on June 5, 2019, at 3:50 pm for domestic abuse battery, possession of schedule II drugs, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

A deputy was dispatched to Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City, La., in reference to a female involved in a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, it was learned that a battery was committed upon the victim by Guerin. The deputy made contact with Guerin at his residence.  During a search of his person, a glass pipe was located. During a search of his residence, methamphetamine and marijuana were located. Guerin was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.

 

Michael Steven Lowery, 57, 101 Chandra Ln., Franklin, La., was arrested on June 5, 2019, at 4:45 pm for brake lights required, expired or no inspection sticker, no record of insurance, switched license plate / stolen license plate and driving under suspension.

 

A deputy was traveling west on Martin Rd. in Centerville, La. when he observed a vehicle operating without any brake lights. A license plate check through dispatch revealed it did not match the description of the vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and contact was made with the driver, identified as Lowery. A background check on Lowery revealed he was driving under suspension. The vehicle had an expired inspection sticker, no insurance and a switched license plate. Lowery was issued a summons to appear in court on September 26, 2019.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

 

Efrain Serrano-Vega, 51, Maria St. #3, Patterson, La., was arrested on June 5, 2019, at 6:03 pm for improper lane usage and possession of schedule II drugs (Adderall).

 

Narcotics detectives were patrolling the area of Hwy. 90 in Morgan City, La. when they observed a vehicle cross the center line into another lane. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and contact was made with the driver, identified as Serrano-Vega. While speaking with the detectives, he appeared to be nervous. K9 Jace was deployed to conduct an open-air sniff. K9 Jace was alerted to the presence of drugs in the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, Adderall pills were located. Serrano-Vega was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.

 

Wilbert Harrison, 34, 413 Sixth St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on June 5, 2019, at 8:31 pm on a warrant for possession of schedule I drugs (Ecstasy).

 

Harris was located at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the active warrant. No bond has been set.
