St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 39 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Tashekia Latasha Celestine, 40, 1115 Railroad Ave., Morgan City, La., was arrested on June 6, 2019, at 10:53 am on warrant for failure to appear on the charge of issuing worthless checks less than $500 and a warrant for failure to appear for arraignment on the charge of operating a vehicle while license is suspended.

 

Celestine was located at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office on the active warrant. She was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond has been set at $6,250.

 

Savannah Hebert, 25, 733 Kem St., Patterson, La., was arrested on June 6, 2019, at 2:55 pm on a warrant for failure to appear for trial on the charge of violation of a protective order.

 

Hebert was located at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse on the active warrant. She was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.

 

Adontay Rayshaun Owens, 20, Tiffany St., Patterson, La., was arrested on June 6, 2019, at 9:35 pm on a warrant for probation violation.

 

A deputy was stationary on Delmar Ave. in Bayou Vista, La. when he observed a vehicle fail to come to a complete stop at a stop sign. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and contact was made with the driver and the passenger, identified as Owens. A background check on Owens revealed the active warrant. He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.

 

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

 

Dexter C. Rudolph, 26, 211 Baptiste St., Baldwin, La., was arrested on June 6, 2019, 4:31 pm for turn signal required, no driver’s license, possession of marijuana (under 14 grams), possession of schedule IV drugs (Xanax) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

Narcotics detectives were patrolling the Baldwin, La. area when they observed a vehicle turn into a driveway without signaling. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and contact was made with the driver, identified as Rudolph. Detectives could smell a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. While speaking with Rudolph, he appeared nervous. During a search of his person, marijuana, crushed Xanax pills, and drug paraphernalia were located. A background check on Rudolph revealed he did not have a driver’s license. He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.
