Arrest Report- June 11, 2019

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 39 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Clarence Anthony Williams III, 27, 603 Robert Street, Franklin, La., was arrested on June 10, 2019, at 11:03 am for Speeding 20 to 25 MPH.

A deputy traveling East on Chatsworth Road observed a vehicle traveling West at a high rate of speed. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Williams. Williams was arrested and released on a summons to appear on September 26, 2019.

 

Shane Theriot, 47, 216 Sanaren Street, Charenton, La., was arrested on June 10, 2019, at 2:01 pm for Domestic Abuse Battery.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence on Sanaren Road in Charenton in reference to a disturbance in progress. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with a victim who stated that Theriot had grabbed the victim during a verbal altercation. Theriot was arrested and transported to the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail was set at $2,500.

 

Seth Aurelius Kidder, 39, 118 Hebert Rd., Franklin, La., was arrested on June 10, 2019, at 2:27 pm for Domestic Abuse Battery (misdemeanor).

A deputy was dispatched to 118 Hebert Rd. in Franklin, La. in reference to a disturbance in progress. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with a victim who stated that the victim had been in an altercation with Kidder. Kidder was transported to the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.

 

Shane Granger, 31, 735 Chetta Lane, Morgan City, La., was arrested on June 10, 2019, at 8:12 pm for Accessory After the Fact, Unauthorized Entry of a Place of Business, and on seven Morgan City Police Department warrants for Failure to Appear.

Deputies were dispatched to a local business in the Siracusaville area in reference to a burglary. Through the investigation, it was learned that suspects entered the business and stole items worth over $10,000. The investigation eventually led detectives to a home on Chetta Lane and Granger was developed as a suspect in the burglary. Granger was transported to the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.

 

Janna Mallory Gilmore, 33, 519 Arcemont Lane, Bayou Vista, La., was arrested on June 10, 2019, at 9:03 pm on three warrants for Failure to Appear on the charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Distribution of Alprazolam, and Distribution of Cocaine.

Gilmore was transported to the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center from the St. Mary Parish Courthouse on the active warrants. No bond has been set.

 

Shawn Edward McCauley, 41, 33124 Susan Dr., Morgan City, La., was arrested on June 11, 2019, 12:29 am for Driving under Suspension.

Jody Ray Cubbedge, Sr., 61, 3459 Second St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on June 11, 2019, at 12:29 am on the following charges:

  • Resisting Arrest or Officer
  • Possession of Schedule II Drugs
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Possession of Schedule I Drugs
  • Possession of Schedule IV Drugs
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Deputies were patrolling the area of Belanger Street in Morgan City, La. when they observed a vehicle with no license plate visible. Upon conducting a traffic stop, the passenger, identified as Cubbedge, ran from the vehicle. After a short foot pursuit, Cubbedge was captured, and drugs and drug paraphernalia were found in his possession.

Deputies also made contact with the driver of the vehicle, identified as McCauley and were advised by dispatch that he was driving under suspension. McCauley was issued a summons to appear in court on September 26, 2019. Cubbedge was transported to the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.
