St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 44 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Frederick Deshaun Guzzetta, 21, 639 Utah St., Berwick, La., was arrested on June 11, 2019, at 1:53 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle not covered by security, general speed law – hazardous conditions, and failure to secure vehicle registration.

Guzzetta was located in Assumption Parish on the active warrant and was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.  Guzzetta was released on a completed sentence.

 

Donna Sherrie Reed, 48, 1900 Saturn Rd., Lot #1, Morgan City, La., was arrested on June 12, 2019, at 3:20 am on a warrant for failure to appear for arraignment on the charge of theft under $1,000.

Reed was located at her residence on the active warrant. She was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bond has been set.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

 

Phil Kenneth Lodrigue, Jr., 39, 1401 Breezy Acres #7, Bayou Vista, La., was arrested on June 11, 2019, at 5:51 pm for

• possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute
• possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute
• possession of drug paraphernalia
• obstruction of justice

Narcotics detectives were patrolling the Patterson, La. area when they observed a vehicle nearly collide with another vehicle. Detectives conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver of the vehicle and the passenger, identified as Lodrigue. During the investigation, drugs belonging to Lodrigue were located. Lodrigue was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond has been set at $10,000.

 

Travis Morin, 36, 1207 Main St., Patterson, La., was arrested on June 11, 2019, at 6:41 pm for no driver’s license on person, improper lane usage, and possession of schedule IV drugs.

Narcotics detectives were at the intersection of Bridge Rd. and Main St. in Patterson, La. when they observed a vehicle run off the roadway twice. Detectives conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Morin. During the investigation, drugs were located on his person. Morin was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond was set at $1,500.

 

NARCOTICS / K9 SECTION

 

Cedric Gant, 22, 1061 Grace St., Siracusaville, La., was arrested on June 11, 2019, at 10:48 pm on a warrant for failure to appear for driving on right side of road and failure to honor written promise to appear.

A deputy with the K9 division was patrolling the Amelia, La. area when he observed a vehicle traveling on Grace St. The deputy recognized the driver as Cedric Gant who held an active warrant. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with Gant and advised him of the active warrant. Gant was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond has been set at $350.
